I wanted to put a set of single-coil sized humbuckers in my Stratocaster, but didn't really like any of the pre-made sets that Seymour Duncan offered, so I decided I'd create my own, with 2 JB Jr. pickups in the bridge and neck positions, and this Little '59 neck in the middle pickup position. This pickup has excellent full tones in both the humbucking mode, and with a coil tap. The sound had the humbucker body, but still retained the highs and the sparkles that Strats are known for. I wouldn't call this a replacement for a full-sized humbucker, but rather a unique other option. As far as output goes, the Little '59 puts out just as much as the JB Jr. pickups, making them work really nicely together.
