Channel one stopped working after a couple of months of medium use. When it worked, it was great.

I liked that it was powered, small, and with a bit of velcro I could stick under my desk for easy access. Was using to switch between PC and Xbox for keyboard and mouse, but it stopped switching recently. I could unplug all the cables, plug everything back in and it would work until you pressed the button, then you would not have the mouse and keyboard until you repeated the cable unplugging process. So good for at least a while, but longer term I think I am going to try a different product to solve my problem.

This unit has worked flawlessly for 4 years. It stopped responding to input a month ago. I contacted the company through Amazon looking for ideas. They immediately sent me a replacement, no questions asked. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this product. You might pay a few dollars more, but the reliability, longevity, and support clearly make this a wise and economical choice. Bravo to SGEYR!!

SGEYR Metal USB Switch 2 Computers Sharing 4 USB Devices USB 2.0 Switcher Box, USB Peripheral Switch Adapter, for Printer, Mouse, Scanner, PCs with One-Button Swapping and 2 Pack USB A to A CableI've been using this daily for about 10 months now and not gonna lie, it's gotten a little fiddly and weird a few times, but those times have been few and far between so I'm happy with it and easily recommend it for the price. For the lengths of time it's been rock solid an occasional little hiccup is tolerable. And who knows, could be a crap USB cable somewhere, a port being funny, any little glitches with any of those things triggering the OS to act stupid for a minute. Anyway the switch has been *generally* rock solid and when something in the mix does go fiddly it straightens out pretty quickly and has another good run of no issues.

I've been using this thing 50+ hours a week for over a year now and I've had no major issues. The build quality feels very sturdy.I use the power cable even though I usually only have a mouse and keyboard connected, even though I don't really need it. I just like my devices having their own dedicated power when that's possible. I've noticed that sometimes if the power cable gets jiggled a little bit, the device will go offline briefly while it switches over to the other power source and back. But that's no reason to take off a star in my opinion - you can just set this up somewhere where you won't be as inclined to accidentally touch the power cable.If you are looking for a USB switch, you probably can't do much better than this one.

It works well and for my purpose I did not need the extra power to the device. The but is, even though it's not a big deal to push the button to swap between devices, I wish I purchased one that let me control the switch from the keyboard. Additionally, while I recognize there is limited room given the size of the device, I kind of wish all the ports were on the same side. Right now the AB ports are on one side and the peripheral ports are on the other side. This makes placement and cable routing a little awkward.That said it works as advertised so 3.5-4 stars.Not sure why Camera quality is a rating for this device as it has no bearing on the matter.

I've had no problems with this switch yet, and it's allowed me to use the same keyboard and mouse while switching between two different computers. That's exactly what I wanted it for. the construction is very heavy-duty, which is another plus. The switch I received had a little bit of mistaken printing on it - the button labeled "select" was instead "seleet", but that's hardly any reason to complain.An FYI for others: be conscious of the differences between "enumerated", "emulated", and DDM styles of switches. This switch acts as an "enumerated" switch, meaning that every time you switch to a different input, the computer has to re-recognize all of the USB devices again. This has caused some occasional problems with lag in my keyboard after rapid back-and-forth switching. If you want to maintain persistent device recognition, consider an emulated or DDM style of switch, but they have their own disadvantages in functionality and/or cost.
