First of all you get it in two boxes and it’s very heavy. I definitely recommend having two people for the install and set up. Just coming out of the box looks good quality thick, heavy duty metal it’s not your cheap pop-up canopy material. You get all of the parts that you need except for the sunshades. It is black coated metal during the install process some of mine chipped off because the polls were very tight fitting together so if I ever decide to take it down, I don’t know how easy they will come apart if this is a concern, I would add some lubricant to assist with Removal. Getting the polls erected is pretty easy find your pole, which has the large square metal plate then put in the two smaller poles that do not have any protrusions straight into there. I had to give mine a pounding to get them in the top is the one that has the metal rings welded to the top, this went a little easier. Now in the info, it says you can install it straight into the ground. These poles are heavy and they whack you up on the head when you get a little wind because the sales are tight it may not be fun. So if you are going to install them into the ground, I recommend that you have some heavy duty pins/stakes. Me personally we have some wind down here, I would not feel comfortable with them installed straight in the dirt. We opted for pouring concrete, More secure option. The set is economical Because they aren’t solid onesie poles that would hold up as well for permanent installation as others. Are patio set up needs to last 3 to 5 years so I thought this was a perfect option. Until we can save up for more permanent solution when we get our permanent pool installed. You can adjust the size by removing a pole, we chose the high low design. The side with the pool pump and low frame uses 3 poles. The side with our steps uses all 4 poles. This give us 2 poles as back up if anything happens. The sunscreen we got works well with the system and helps us enjoy the pool & patio in the full sun and heat of summer, without as much sun exposure. One of the main reasons I chose this set was because I’m very worried when we do get those very strong Wind gust From a storm or a hurricane rolling through. We could remove the top poles and take the whole thing down. The poles is concreted the ground. This way, we don’t have to worry about flying debris or puncturing the side of the pool or heaven forbid the house. It is an excellent option. Flexible can be reusable, depending on how it is installed is a higher price point than your dinky pop-ups but it’s definitely worth the extra money to not have to redo it and purchase every year.

The Shade Sail Poles Kit is outstanding! These heavy-duty steel poles are incredibly sturdy and perfect for supporting a sunshade sail or string lights, adding both functionality and style to any garden, yard, or patio. At 10 feet tall, they offer excellent coverage and stability, making them a fantastic addition to outdoor spaces.

These are really heavy and strong! We have no shade in our backyard, these are a lifesaver! Our hoa has a crazy process to get a permanent fixture in our backyard. While waiting on the approval, we got these. They've been great. They're all really strong, holds up our larger 16x16 canopy with ease. A light breeze, and they still stand strong. We havent put them firmly in the ground yet, again, hoa bs, but I'm sure they would stand strong with a heavy wind as well.

I need some shade over my driveway and in my backyard. I got quotes to put up carport canopies that were in the several thousand dollar range.I just need some shade, not a roof. This 4 pc. 10 foot pole canopy kit is just what I needed. This kit can be used to support whatever size canopy you want. The 4 poles can be used together to make a free-standing configuration.I’ll be using 2 poles on the side and 2 poles in the rear of my house. I’ll attach the other 2 sides of each canopy to the house’s fascia board via an eyelet.I can use whatever length canopy I like and just mount the poles accordingly. I like that each 10 foot pole is in 4 pieces and the height can be varied according to my need.I have pictured, just 3 sections of a pole because my ceiling is only 8 feet tall.I really appreciate the mounting base of each pole. The material is surprisingly thick. They can be mounted to concrete on top of anchors or lag bolted into a wooden deck.I was impressed at the packaging and how every single piece is wrapped in its own plastic sleeve to ensure it arrives scratch free, which it did!Note that this kit is ONLY the4 -10 foot poles, no canopy or lights are included. This kit will provide me the ability to mount 2 separate sail canopies. I like that! The assembly is slip together and the poles have a nice coating to protect them from the elements. I’m glad it’s coated so nicely and that I don’t have to paint it.Even with the money I’ll spend for the canopy, I just can’t beat the price for the finished product I’ll have.

The thickness is pretty good on these. They are heavy! I haven't been able to set them up yet as we are still figuring out permanent placement, but I don't doubt they would hold up during wind if secured properly!

While we have a fair amount of shade in our backyard, the mid-day sun is ruthless during the summer. My thought was to set these poles up using 2 poles per location and having two more shady areas off the back patio, but after measuring on of our shade sails, we decided that we’d set these poles up with two on one side of the pool and two on the other at the end we decided we wanted to be the “shady” end of the pool. We haven’t finished our mortar replacement on our pool deck yet so we didn’t do a permanent install on these poles. Instead, I poured 4 “rings” of concrete and once those cured, I wrapped my rings in neoprene to protect the finish on the poles. We slid the concrete ring over the bottom section of each pole so the ring rests on top of the footer, and the rings have made the poles good and steady…for now! We stretched the sale and attached it to the eye-boltish things on the poles. I was also able to run some solar string lights, and it’s a pretty and friendly oasis in the backyard…and some welcome relief from the sun.
