After a couple of weeks of using the Shark NeverChange Air Purifier Max, I’m impressed with its performance. It’s a powerful unit with some standout features, but there are also a few things I wish were different. The built-in odor neutralizer is also a great touch, helping to keep the air fresh.What really stood out to me was how well it handled smoke from my wood-burning fireplace. The moment it detected the smoke, it kicked into high gear and cleared the air without hesitation. That level of responsiveness gives me confidence that it’s effectively maintaining indoor air quality.Cost Savings – A Long-Lasting Filter with No SubscriptionsOne huge perk of this purifier is the 5-year filter life. Unlike other brands that require frequent and costly filter replacements—or even force you into a subscription plan—this one is designed to last. That’s a huge cost savings over time!Usability – Auto Mode Needs Some TweaksWhile the purifier works well, I noticed a small issue with the Auto Mode. I bought this primarily because I have allergies and these definitely help to purify the air. Essential product to clean air and breathe easily. Love that you don't have to worry about cleaning or changing a filter. Also, it is extremely quiet and looks attractive. A great addition to my living room.

The title says it all! I've been through 4 other air filters and all have NOT lived up to their claims. Im a smoker but my wife is not and she has mild issues with her sinuses. I've designed and installed a air system that removes the air in the room and blows it into the attic. But the vents are in the ceiling so we still need a good filter system down low. I had been looking at the SHARK unit for few weeks and decided to take a chance. After I hooked it up and went through the quick and easy instructions I turned it on the AUTO function and let it do it's thing. My wife returned home from work and asked if I had been outside all day. I said no and that I had been inside, and asked her "Why"? She said that she didn't smell any cigarettes or stale smoke smell. This filter is definitely worth the money! It does a great job removing fine dust particles and it's very quiet. It's amazing how good it works compared to the size. It's small for a entire house filter. It picks up kitchen odors 3 rooms away. And cleaning the pre filters is super easy and makes the main filter last much longer. Dollar for dollar, this filter is probably the best unit I've had the experience of using. And it saves you money because you don't have to buy a new filter every 3 months.

I love this air purifier and the fact that it tells you if the air is good or bad usually bad after cooking it’s not to noisy however the little scent dial I can’t ever smell . I bought this to avoid buying filters I’ve had this for a few months it works great I’m very happy with my purchase

At first, I was surprised by how large it was. I was also nervous about a refurbished item, but it works great! It picks up on any shift in air quality. As soon as you start cooking or open the door it wants to suck it all out of the air! Very happy with this purchase.

I prefer to keep it on auto, but after a while it will give me an error reading or tell me to check the filters. I am constantly checking and cleaning the filters every month. I have tried to trouble shoot only for the website to tell me to call customer service. It is very unfortunate that such an expensive air purifier has so many problems functioning.

While I rarely write reviews I’m going to on this one. This is a refurbished unit, I knew that when I was purchasing it. What I didn’t realize is that checking elsewhere would have saved me money and I would have gotten a better unit with a remote for about the same price. The unit itself works well. There is a smoker in the household, the main reason for this purchase, and it scrubs the air adequately. It takes awhile for it to work, that’s normal. The odor neutralizer helps in this area, that’s a cartridge that inserts in the top. It is very quiet on the low setting but does have a white noise effect on the higher settings. The model is some what large but works fine in the corner with adequate air flow. It has a sleep timer that I use at night. Overall it’s been a few weeks and it’s a good product.
