It literally is falling apart. I have worn it 3 times and let it air dry. I do not store it in plastic as instructed. It literally leaves a pile of black dust every time you pick it up. I have only worn this on beaches with white sand so it is not from the sand. I believe the magnet is disintegrating. I really wanted to love it but sadly it is a fail.

How do we know if something like this works, unless we actually encounter a shark while wearing it? I bought it with the hopes it did what it claims, and from a mostly manufactured fear of an unlikely shark attack since I was going to the beach frequently this summer. It seems well-made, but like other users have noted, sheds the black carbon-like material after drying. That's not a problem for me since I expected it. I don't know if it works but I'm willing to chance it, and it surprisingly gives me a bit of peace of mind.

I purchased 2 of these in May. I placed them in their bag after using them. Then on my next trip to the beach, I opened the bag and wow. They were disintegrating. I'm past the window to return them otherwise I'd be asking for my money back. A waste of money.

The follow through with this company was refreshing. I had shipping issues and they made it right. I like to swim past the waves and though I understand this isn’t for Great White sharks I like that I have a bit of deterrent from smaller shark species. I suggest one for each leg given that most attacks are on lower appendages.

Before I bought this shark off, I wrote to the company with several questions. They responded right away and answered my questions so I bought it. I’ve been using it a lot for about 5 months now and 2 of the elements fell off for some reason. I notified the company and they were genuinely concerned about why the elements fell off. They also quickly replaced it. Thank you Shark Off for the GREAT customer service!

I have purchased four of these now. Two for me, two for my boyfriend. Wear on wrist and one on ankle. I grew up in the ocean, but as I get older, I worry more, and I know shark interactions have increased over the years. I will not let it stop me from enjoying something I love the most, these bracelets just give me an extra sense of feeling safe! The concept is sooooo cool! You should watch the videos and testing on them. It is really neat. I love, love, love the product!
