The quick connect side was fine but the threaded end was terrible. The threads were sharp and full of burrs. This would have torn up the seal if I hadn't noticed.

We went with Sharkbite for most of the fittings in our shower remodel. For the shower head and the tub spout, I made sure to get Sharkbite Max because I wanted the water flow and pressure to be the best it could be. We used 1/2” PEX-B for the water supply and also from the handle valve to the shower head. We used 1/2” copper for the tub spout. I was okay with using regular PEX-B crimp nipple-type fittings for the inlet, but for the outlet I wanted maximum flow, so I went with Sharkbite max for the drop ear elbow, and also the outlet fittings for both the shower head and the tub spout. Our shower handle valve was all female NPT threads, so I had to get fittings for everything. I used both teflon tape and plumbing thread sealant (yellow kind) and we haven’t had any leak problems. Our water pressure and flow is fantastic in our new shower. They were easy to install and I haven’t had any problems with leaks so far. Just a reminder: if you’re putting copper into the Sharkbite connection, don’t sand it or rough it up like you would for soldering a fitting, leave it smooth. Also, we are able to get to our connections under the shower from the basement and also from an access panel behind the shower fixture wall. But if your wall or floor is sealed with no access, you might want to use something OTHER than sharkbite connectors.

These connections make the DIY plumber like me a pro. They helped to save time and make it easy to take apart my shower valve at camp on the fall to prevent freezing over the winter.

Worked great and used to easily connect a 3/4-inch Flo by Moen. The subtle beauty of using a shark bite is you can also easily remove and reuse them on a wet pipe, can't do that with a solder joint. I found out after installing the Flo by Moen my water pressure was too high so I actually need to remove it and add a PVV in front of it so I will be adjusting the configuration and a SharkBite makes that relatively easy to do and makes for a neat job. I have been using shark bites since they came out and have never had a failure...I cannot say that about a solder joint, though in all honesty I cannot solder so good anyway.
