Sharkskin's legendary Chillproof material has been embedded with nanoparticles of titanium that capture and retain significantly more body heat. The inner layer features a "hollow yarn" fleece that holds and warms water next to the skin while in the water. The middle technical layer is a one-way membrane that regulates body temperature on the surface by keeping out wind and water but allowing water from the inner layer to wick rapidly away from the body.

So I was hoping to love this, but there are too many compromises. My primary use cases was as dry suit undergarment with maybe occasional trips elsewhere to use as more of a wet suit sub in warm water. The sizing seems slightly off for an American audience, even given that it’s supposed to be a snugger fit.My biggest frustration is the zipper doesn’t come down low enough it stops basically just below the belly button. This means it’s not really a good relief valve nor is it acceptable to be used as an opening for a P valve hose. This doesn’t have any other ports so that’s really frustrating for anyone with a dry suit.It certainly light and stretchy, though not quite as stretchy as you might expect. It is warm, but again, not quite as warm as one might expect. 5mm equivalent seems like quite the stretch more like 2-3mm.
