Hmmm... okay, it works fairly well. Obviously it only tries to capture some of the smoke while the cigarette is resting in the ashtray, but it does suck up some of it. It's not particularly powerful. It doesn't have a place to actually "snuff" out your cigarette. It is a little big and bulky but still looks nice. It just doesn't fit my particular smoking style, but I think it may help some with getting rid of a little extra smoke (for a fairly hefty price.)

First, let it be known that I had one of these smokeless ashtrays back in the 90s. It worked as expected, but was louder than a plane ready for takeoff. This unit, besides looking infinitely more tasteful, runs at a very low decibel volume (especially on the "low" setting) while keeping most of the smoke at bay. It won't remove all smoke from the room, if that is what you're expecting, but does keep a cigar or cigarette at rest from filling up the room (or coating nearby electronics with nicotine film) and does a great job at keeping the typical ashtray aromas in check.This is, at its core, a fine desktop HEPA filter, which charges fairly quickly (with an hour and a half of charging giving me several hours of practical use,) but also works while charging. A great gift for the smoker in your life.

i just got this & it was already charged somewhat, so i used it & it really seems to work well & do everything they say it does. sucks up the smoke, is a good size, good materials. i'm pleased. :)

The SHD Smokeless Ashtray’s dimensions were accurately presented on this Amazon’s product page, but the ashtray was actually larger in size than I had anticipated. I liked the simplicity of use – I just lifted the cover, and the fan automatically engaged and appeared to draw the smoke inward. The inner tray was removable allowing for ease of cleaning and I did appreciate the option to add a few drops of scented oil in a designated compartment located underneath the tray. The cover does not fully extend open, yet the ¾ cover opening was sufficient to place a cigar or cigarette onto the ashtray’s notches. The companion screen for filtering smoke particles and odors was also washable and replaceable. Overall, the cordless and rechargeability features were my favorite aspects. However, the boxy wooden design of the ashtray camouflaged its intended use and appeared to be a decorative storage container when I placed it on a shelf.

I like to smoke the occasional cigar and my kids like the whackier stuff and this ash tray actually works! If you are smoking cigarettes this would be very nice to keep the smoke more contained as well. The ash tray is easy to use, you just open it and the fans kick in. It is small enough you can take it to a friends house and it is well built. I dropped it a few times and it did not break.What else can I say, it actually works and is super easy to use!

My first thoughts on this were it was bigger than I thought it would be which was actually nice I think that makes it a lot more dunctional. THe aesthetic is very nice, the black with walnut go well together and looks nice. No on/off switch or anything, you simply lift the lid and the ashtray part is underneath and the fan begins running. The fan is super quiet, you can barely hear anything at all. I think its a good item for anyone who smokes tobacco or recreational products in some states should have something like this. Smoke gets in everything and the odor stay, anything that can cut that down is a winner.
