I finally got the color I wanted ( like the description, desert camel tan ) and it’s gorgeous merino wool! It is so soft and incredible to work with plus, a whole pound of it! I couldn’t be happier with this seller, Shep’s Wool for the quality and service. They shipped it to me immediately and I got it in a couple days. I will definitely be buying more wool from them. The color of this was a little off for “camel”, but passable. There was vegetable matter included in it, indicating that cleaning could have been more thorough prior to combing. It was easy to spin and accomplished what I wanted.

I am always impressed by Shep's roving. The fibers are consistent in texture and length so they are easy to work with. Those qualities are a big advantage when doing detail work on the needle felted dolls I create.
