Been meaning to replace the lost wheels and realized I only have one socket left. Measured the pipes and hoped for the best with this. Almost didn't fit...until I used my hammer and the metal shaved the extra edges. Now there's room for more shoes below!

These are hard plastic. Before banging them into the leg of the bed frame, I had to drill them out to 11/32 inch to accommodate the hump in the stem of Waxman bed caster. Secure tightly but without deforming in a vice or clamp and drill into the top and downward to avoid splitting the top. Don't go any bigger or the wheel will fall off when you lift the corner of the bed up.

Sizes are incorrect!Outer diameter is 1/2” - Should be 5/8” to fit snuggly!Inner hole diameter is 5/16 - Should be 7/16 which is the standard size for caster stems!Do not buy!!!

I had to open up the inside diameter a little where the wheel stem was to seat in order to have the wheel stem seat correctly and securely. I had to use a hammer in order to install the wheels. Once I did that this item worked great!

We had a roll about stool. The factory welded an end cap on each leg with a threaded center nut that received a threaded caster. The tack weld broke on one leg and the caster fell off.The legs were 1/2" diameter hollow tubes. I cut off 1/2" of each tube and thus the welded end cap as well. I inserted these plastic sockets into the tube end and then casters. Worked fine and saved $150 stoolCasters were from the Shepherd as well, from my local big box hardware store. (Shepherd2 in. In my search for replacement caster sockets I learned that the socket specs are presented in different ways - sometimes as tube OD and gauge and sometimes tube ID. The Shepherd specs are referenced to tubing ID (the 7/8 product #9071 would fit snugly inside 7/8in ID tube). My tubing was 1 inch OD 16ga (0.54in) leaving a tubing ID of about 0.982in, so the 7/8 product was loose in the tube. I also tried the 1in and it was too large for my tube without trimming each fin. I ended up using Oagen's 1in S-R100A sockets to fit my 1in OD tube. I measured both the Shepherd #9071 and #9073 sockets and the with my calipers - dimensions shown in attached photos.
