Replaced the worn one on my right shifter. It came in a Shimano package, so I'm confident it's an OEM replacement.I'm completely satisifed with the name plate, and recommend for anyone that needs a replacement.

There are two versions of this product: one for the right side brifter, and one for the left. This particular name plate is for the RIGHT side (a.k.a. rear brake/rear shifter). It seems like that should be included in the product description.I needed to replace this piece after it broke on my bike, and this was exactly what I needed. Easy to install, once I released the tension on the brake cable at the brake caliper.

It should be since it is a oem component. I am just glade they offer this piece to help clean up a scratched up shifter.

These are white plastic with metallic coating. If they were metal you wouldn't notice damage as much, but these will patch your brifter up like new.Down one star because the individual piece costs more than the pair of hoods.
