This is the third time I have replaced this model shifter on my Cannondale Bad Boy 1. It lasts approximately 1500 miles and then has trouble shifting to lower gears. I don’t know if there is an alternative but I’d sure like one that I don’t have to replace once or twice a year.

I replaced a broken shift lever on my beloved Gary Fisher City Bike, only to find out the numbers are backwards! Have to readjust, as I set it in gear 4, when I should have been in gear "5".
