I needed a square taper cartridge bottom bracket with a 118.5mm spindle for a 68mm BB shell, so I selected the size option "68x118.5mm" on the item titled "Shimano BB-UN26 Square taper Bottom Bracket" with a big picture of a Shimano BB-UN26 square taper bottom bracket next to it. What came in the mail was a Shimano 105 BB-5500 68x118.5mm Octalink bottom bracket, which – as anyone who knows anything at all about bike parts would know – is not compatible with square-taper cranks. The fact that the listing switches from square taper to octalink based on the size option selected suggests that the seller either doesn't actually understand how bike components work, or doesn't understand how to list items on an online marketplace.

My bottom bracket on my Specialized Allez Elite was grinding pretty good from wear.....this solved the problem and was very easy to install. Removing the old BB was a different story, make sure you buy the right tools for removal.

My bike was making a ticking sound from the crank arms/bottom bracket area. Cups were nice and snug so it wasn't that and finally noticed some play in the bracket itself. Replaced with this and problem solved.

Good price compared to the Dura Ace version. I was looking for the Ultegra version. But apparently it was discontinued.
