Ordered to replace my dropped lever and went with the iSpec EV clamp to mount to my XT levers. Came next day with cable, ferrules and fixing for a nice easy setup.As always great Shimano quality with nice spring loaded lever and ecotourism need to fit.Highly recommended

I personally believe this is the most underrated dropper lever on the market. The Shimano SL-MT500 dropper lever is $29 and is readily available on REI or Amazon. It comes in both 22.2 bar clamp or I-Spec-EV. There is a more expensive version, the SL-MT800, which is more beautifully machined but from what I can tell with mine, almost identical. Ergonomically it is just as comfortable as my PNW Loam or Wolftooth remotes at half the price and far better than most droppers like the TransX, Crankbrothers or KS levers I've tried on other bikes. The lever uses a sensible 4mm bolt to fasten the cable which I love because I've rounded out so many terrible levers with soft 3mm or 2mm bolts (I'm looking at you Fox). Finally, it includes a spring in the lever, which I don't think I've seen on any other lever on the market. It helps take up slack and smooths out the lever action on droppers with less than stellar cable tension. The box also includes the excellent Shimano Optislick cable, which is itself $12. I love this lever, it's a not just a great value, it's one of the best dropper levers period.
