Close ratio gearing allows a more efficient use of energy through finer cadence control. Sprockets are cut away and drilled to reduce weight without reducing rigidity. Nickel-plated finish offers hard wearing resistance to corrosion. Corrosion-resistant steel cassette lockring. For Super Narrow 9-speed HG chains. Average weight 270 g for 12 - 23T.

高松トライアスロン大会出場のため購入。あくまで規定時間内完走が目的です。giosのピュアドロップ（2010）に乗り今まで四国一周やファンライドイベントなどツーリングを楽しんできました。が、レース形式は初めてなのでまずは30km/h巡行を目指すことにしました。タイヤを35c→25cに変更。ツーリング用の荷台を外し軽量化。これで30km/hは出るのですが5段から上へのつながりが悪いので12-25Tを14-25Tに変更。ケイデンス80rpmで7段以上で30km/hオーバー！これで次のランに影響最小限で30km/巡行ができそうです。あくまで平地コースのレース仕様ですが、いいと思います

普段乗り用のBianchiビアニローネ7SORA2024に装着。あくまで貧脚のおっさんの感想ですが…フロントアウターで20～30キロチョイがとても気持ちよくなります。巡航時の微妙な速度変化に対応できるのが良いです。下りでも40キロ程度なら軽すぎずそれなりに踏めますので全く問題無かったです。登りはやはり8%超えが続くと厳しいですが少しの登りは以前はアウターで頑張っていた所を潔くインナーに落とすようになりました。あと自分的には0発進時にアウターローで少し重く感じます。わざわざインナーに落としたくはないのでそこは以外とストレスでした。総合的にはフロント、リアとすべてのギアが実用的に使えるようになり楽しいです。当然シフト操作は増えました。当分この仕様で行きます！！

I love this cassette. It gives me a perfect set of gear ratios for any paved trail I travel. The 25T is low enough for the hills I meet and I go through the entire range on most rides. The 14T gear limits top speed to 16-19 mph depending on cadence but that's more than fast enough for my flat bar bike.

Genuine Shimano part and fits my road bike like the original 9 speed cassette. I ride mostly flat roads in my area so the closer ratios of 14-25 work very nicely for me. Shifts smooth like the original.

Picked a nice, close ratio cassette as this is for my winter hack/commuter and found this cassette perfect. The combination of the closer ratio 25 to 14 on a nine speed means there's always a comfortable cruising speed even if you're slightly compromised on very steep climbs or top end speed.
