Electronic shifting is convenient both in terms of maintenance and setup. I have an aero bike equipped with ultegra di2 and a profile design aerobar clip-ons for duathlon and triathlon use. Installing the aero remote shifters is easy and literally takes a few minutes. Simply plug in to the available ports on the road di shifters, install the remote to the ends of the aero clip-ons, and you have a TT bike. You may need to update the firmware on on your system before the remote shifters can work. Apart from the price, its a awesome piece of kit.
