Not alot of mystery surrounding these lol. Very reliable easy to install and adjust the tension on the clip. Make sure the SPD style clip is what you have or plan to get into.

Very good so far, I am a long time user to TIME pedals, the old set (15 years old) start giving a little trouble and it was time to replace, decided to give the shimano a try and so far all it good, let’s see if they will last for the next 15 as well

This is my third pair of Shimano SPD pedals and they are amazing. Shimano SPD pedals have an incredibly reliable entry and release mechanism and they last forever. My first pair were bought when I was eighteen and I rode them till I was twenty-four (sold them with a bike). My second pair came on a Bontrager that I got off a friend when I was twenty-three and those sat for years and they still work perfectly. I recently bought and Epic 8 and wanted a pedal to match and they have not disappointed. Great bearings, super reliable clip in system. I’m thrilled that Shimano continues to build off a system they got right the first time.

Workhorse pedals.

These pedals are the standard to which all others are compared. I’ve been using Shinzo SPD pedals on my mountain bike for years and never had a failure.

These are really great high end pedals for the SPD system. I still run this style of cleat on my road bike, because I like my shoes so much haha. This is the third set of pedals I have used. The first set were some basic no name. I then had the shimano m520s, and now these. I can tell quality and function difference with every upgrade. The clip-in function is different, and the bearings seem to have quality difference as well. Weight was about the same for all. I would say the spindle length on these is a bit longer, which I like. The m520 seemed short enough that I felt uncomfortable and always felt like my shoe was going to strike the crank when pedaling. Overall, I think the quality justifies the price.

I am used to spd-sl pedals so these took a bit to get used to . If commuting they are definitely more practicable . These pedals look good and feel well made .

SPD SLから本商品に変えました。毎日のトレーニングに使ってます。SLと遜色ありません。シューズはXC-1(26.5)(普段の靴サイズ27.0)を使ってます。

Soy un gran aficionado al MTB, acudiendo a competiciones a nivel regional y he probado varios pedales automáticos hasta la fecha, todos ellos con el sistema de anclaje SPD (el más común).En este caso nos encontramos con los Shimano XT PD-M8100, la última versión de la gama intermedia-alta del fabricante.En primer lugar, indicar que he comprado el modelo sin saber si las calas venían incluidas o no, y cuando he abierto la caja si venían incluidas (Shimano SH51) como podéis observar en las imágenes. Si conocéis la gama de pedales de Shimano, debéis saber que existe otra versión superior a esta y que actualmente también tengo (el modelo XTR). Por debajo de este modelo quedarían modelos más básicos que funcionan correctamente pero con un peso muy superior (como los Shimano M520).Centrándome en mi caso, venía utilizando unos pedales del fabricante Force. No es muy conocido, pero por unos 50€ tenía unos pedales bastante ligeros para su precio (292gr) y que decidí mantener. ¿Problema? Al cabo de 1 año de uso me doy cuenta de que por mucho que ajuste el tornillo de apriete de los pedales para endurecer el movimiento, solo conseguía endurecer el calado y descalado, pero no fijar el pie al pedal sin movimientos. Esto me provocaba inseguridad en bajadas, lentitud a la hora de calar y descalar y que el pie no se mantuviese firme con el pedaleo. De ahí que buscara una solución a esto priorizando la comodidad al peso.Por este motivo, y tras ver varias opiniones de todo tipo de pedales con un presupuesto máximo de 100€-120€, me interesaba ganar en comodidad sin descuidar la parte del peso. En ese momento, compré el modelo XTR para mi bicicleta principal y la experiencia de uso es perfecta, tanto en sensación de calado/descalado como 0 holguras durante el pedaleo.Tras el buen rendimiento con los XTR, he aprovechado una oferta puntual de este modelo XT para renovar los pedales de otra bicicleta y poder comparar ambos modelos de primera mano. Sin duda, y tras varios días de uso la sensación es prácticamente idéntica que con el modelo superior XTR: calado y descalado muy suave, rápido y sin ningún tipo de holgura, la sensación de sujeción es total.Si tuviese que nombrar alguna diferencia que se note en el día a día (quitando la diferencia de peso de solo 28 gramos entre un modelo y otro) es en la superficie de cada uno. En ese aspecto, si se puede llegar a notar una mayor facilidad de calado en el modelo XTR al tener una plataforma un poco más ancha.¿Los recomiendo?Los recomiendo 100% incluso por encima del modelo XTR. Este modelo de XT ofrece la mejor relación calidad-precio-peso. Aunque personalmente prefiera la sensación que me dan el modelo XTR, esta es la opción de compra más inteligente para cualquier usuario avanzado en ciclismo de montaña, incluso si asistes a competiciones a nivel regional o incluso nacional. Obviamente, cualquiera que busque la máxima calidad de componentes y el mínimo precio posible se decantarán por la versión superior.Espero que esta opinión de producto os ayude en vuestra decisión de compra final, si ha sido así te agradecería pulsaras el botón “útil”.
