I replaced my front and rear Dunlop tires with the Verge Shinkos on my 2017 Ninja 650 and wow the bike handles and grips like a dream! Smart purchase.

This tire is pretty awesome. I've got about 5000 miles on it now and there is some indication of wear, but not enough to call it squaring off. When I installed the tire, I remember being impressed with the thickness of the tire compared to my dunlop qualifiers. The bike (2005 GSX-R750) turns in much faster on this rear (with a dunlop qualifier front) than it did with the previous mathing set of dunlops. Even pilot road 4s and pilot powers feel like I'm driving a truck compared to this tire. Grip throughout a turn is predictable and strong, and doesn't diminish in rain as much as any other tire I've ridden on.In fact, the only drawback to this tire is that is has almost 0 grip when upright in the rain. It's an odd experience being able to drag knee when it's sprinkling, then have no rear brake when you stand the bike back up. That is a pretty big drawback, but on the street, with a good front tire to move water out of the way of the rear, it actually doesn't cause that many problems.Edit: I ended up putting almost 20,000 miles on this tire before I replaced it. That's 70% commuting, 15% road trips, 15% "spirited" riding, and the tire STILL wasn't showing cords. Definitely a good buy if you don't ride in the rain much.

These are great on dry pavement but I ride every day and the first time I hit rain I found I could not stop or take off very well at all absolutely no traction at all

Awesome tire for my VFR800. I ride 16,000 miles a year commuting to work. I used Continental Contimotions for the first 72,000 miles. They are just OK for commuting. The rears would burn through to the belt at 6,000 miles every time. I just replaced my first Shinko rear with 12,000 miles on it, and it hadn't gone through to the belt yet! AND the Shinko is much stickier than the Continentals. I didn't feel very confident on the Contimotions. Almost never dragged the pegs. On the Shinkos I drag the foot pegs everyday. Big difference in grip.

This is my second set of Shinkos for my 2009 HD XR1200. Great performing tire; equal to Mich Pilot Pure and Dunlop Qualifier...and better milage than both of those. Don't let the low price and non-mainstream name fool you into passing this one up.
