It's a win-win. The dog likes the scratching motion and I like the mounds of hair flying off towards the neighbor's yard instead of my living room carpet.

We ordered this for our shedding Husky. Works well and doesn't seem to bother our dog. We also have a Furminator, which is more effective at removing a lot of hair, but also bothers the dog if we're not careful to be gentle.

We have a Chow Chow who is shedding her puppy coat. This product does everything it promises to do. The shedding blade arrived ahead of schedule, well wrapped, and in perfect condition. THIS BLADE DOES NOT CUT THE COAT!! It simply takes out all of the dead hair from the undercoat.

I have always used this kind of brush for my dogs as well. It works great, removes extra hair and any dirt or debris. Love that this one has the two blades/loops to it instead of just one, it's like double the brushing.

Love this tool! Helps to remove my shepherd's undercoat so much more easily than traditional brushes at a fraction of the price of other alternative tools. Word of caution though. The hair flies everywhere. Best used outside if possible.
