I have since played every game in these shorts. Comfort and functionality are key and they hit it. Still love them.I haven't tested this out in a game yet, but it's comfortable when I tried it on and moved around in. I LOVE the small velcro snaps the feel more discreet, they are a bit hard to get open at first but I figure that's a good thing right?

I have a medical condition, Likens Sclerosis that makes my favorite pastime, riding my bicycle, very very painfulThis "female cup" allows my to bike ride without pain!Perhaps the manufacturers might want to market this product to those us who want to ride our bikes without pain

I have bought this product multiple times now because it fits my needs so well. It's one of the cheaper Jills on the market. It holds up fantastic. I have three sets of hockey clothes that I rotate through. Therefore, I have three sets of these shorts. They hold my socks up pretty good. Not perfectly as they get older but nothing a little tape can't fix. I play both goalie and skate out and these shorts fit both of my needs. The cup fits perfectly and I wash it with the shorts after I play each time. No problems with these shorts. I recommend them to my teammates. The elastic holds up well too over the years and washings. I usually wear yoga pants or tights under them to because I prefer something on my entire legs before I put on my knee pads or shin pads. It helps keep the sweat off my gear and then I put these over to keep my socks up and obviously for the cup protection as well. I have been playing for about 15 years and these are my favorite Jills that I have found.

Definitely get a size up from what you would imagine you are, but I absolutely love these compression shorts. They are comfortable, the protective "cup" is comfortable, and the velcro works perfectly to hold up my socks. I saw some bad reviews based on the cup not being removable, but it is definitely removable from the top there's a little velcro tab on the holder.

As a transgender woman, when I discovered that an upcoming competition required groin protection, I panicked. A men's cup would produce a huge, humiliating bulge. I'm not particularly secretive about my status; the rest of my team knows, my coaches know. I don't broadcast it to strangers on the street, but I don't try to hide it. Nonetheless, that kind of bulge is unacceptable to me.I bought this on the hope that I could use it while tucked. I wasn't at all certain that they would work. To my surprise and delight, it works even more effectively than a cup. It's fairly comfortable, I can take hits to the groin, all the vitals are protected, and I can wear it discreetly .I realize this review is not particularly helpful for any cis folk reading, but I hope that it can help another transgender woman athlete find a groin protection solution that works.

Took a little longer to get the package due to weather, but I put them on as soon as I got them. According to other reviews they run a little small so I ordered a large and it's a pretty good fit, though the legs were a bit looser than I was expecting. Groin area will take some time getting used to but so far so good! Oh and it has an easily accessible pocket closed with Velcro so you can take the pelvic protector out with no hassle.

I actually bought these to hold my pelvic protectors in place for sparring in Krav maga. The little velcro patches on the front of the shorts are annoying for this purpose, but I got over it. I ended up cutting the butt straps off because they squeezed my (rather tiny) butt oddly which was unattractive even under another pair of shorts, but the pelvic protector still stays in place just the same. Much better than trying to keep things in place with compression shorts!

I had ordered this in conjunction with a few other groin protectors to see which one fit properly and was comfortable. The other type fit like adult diapers and I didn't like the bulky style at all. After reading the reviews, I ordered a size up and these fit perfectly, without any need for alterations. They are very comfortable in class and I forgot I had them on. I was able to run, kick, and do floor exercises without having my movements impeded.I will have to see about removing the Velcro loops for attaching hockey pads, as I do not need those and they look weird under my workout capris. I wish they sold these without those loops.UPDATE: My husband has the men's groin protection and his "cup" is easy to get in and out of this compression shorts. I had to *cut* an opening to get my cup in and out. Why is the women's made so that you have to completely disrobe to get the cup out? I am going to write the company as I am very aggravated that they made the women's with such disregard for ease of use. Changing my rating to 3 stars as I shouldn't have to "destroy" something I paid good money for.
