Use with caution. I purchased the 2.75" size and there is no load rating. Other brands on amazon claim 660lbs breaking load, we have a 280lb lift on a dinghy and it stretched out dropping the dinghy damaging the transom on our catamaran and almost put the outboard in the water. Wishard Snap hooks of a similar size have a working load rating of 1050lbs with a breaking load of 1500lbs. These are cheap and weak.

Metal flag clips are way easier to use than plastic. They do tap on the flag pole, but I like that noise! Reminds of my fav marina. Easy install. Glad I bought the bigger ones! These seem like SS, and will be around forever!

Very sturdy and strong. Working great with two flags, a 4x6 and a 3x5 on a 40' flag pole. High winds and changing directions a lot with no issues. I would not go any smaller than these. I had some others same brand/style but were just under 2" and had a hard time with getting the flag grommets in. These are the perfect size!

I usually use the tradition style of clips on my boat but these are easy to clip on and off. I'll see how they work during a race. I'll get a set of the next size down for lower load applications.Real 316 stainless - that's a must-have.
