I acquired this carpet cleaning extraction accessory kit for my shop vac with the hope that I could use it to clean extra heavy duty soiled areas. My husband has a tendency to come in from his garage with his nasty shoes and he will often forget to take them off before he enters the bedroom. That being said it makes it where my poor carpet takes a beating from Dirty shoes. This extraction kit carpet shampooer kit is reminiscent of the old rug doctor which gets everything clean and clean quickly. That combined with the fact that I have an attached a 5 hp shot back can't help but suck all the residue out of the carpet as quickly as it is injected. That is often the worst part of cleaning rugs or carpet is the fact that the water from the cleaning machine gets soaked into the carpet pad and you're unable to get rid of it. This one works great I'm very happy with it and now I will not be soTesty to my husband when he walks in the bedroom on the very light colored carpet with his dirty boots. I'm happy with this and I'm sure most people who need something like that would be happy to.

A couple little issues with the overall quality but other than that, it works as advertised.First issue concerns the filter assembly. The O ring that is inside the filter assembly can unseat itself, causing a leak. Make sure it is seated in that groove that surrounds the filter where the clear assembly screws to the top. Another issue regards the incredibly lame hose clamps that go around the water line just before it reaches the wand assembly. It came off on me a few times until I got a proper hose clamp and clamped it so the hose won't shoot off. That happened to me and water went everywhere in my car's interior. I wasn't too happy when that happened. This is basically a clone of the "rip clean" extractor kit that I came across one day. Another small issue is the placement of the water line that feeds the wand. Others have mentioned that as well. The wand that comes with the RipClean kit is better due to its placement of the water line.

The beauty of this system is that you can transform your EXISTING shop vac into a PROFESSIONAL QUALITY carpet cleaner with a few small steps, thereby avoiding hundreds of dollars of expense. That alone is worth the price of admission. It's very well made and all the pieces fit perfectly. The wide suction mouth makes short work of even larger residential jobs with the same quality you'd get from a paid service. There is even a hose attachment if you want to use water or a mixture with carpet cleaner. The shop vac is spared from damage by the included wet filter, so you don't have to mess your existing filter up if you use it for sawdust, etc. All in one kit, very well made, just include the shop vac and your ready to clean. AMAZING how much it really transforms a carpet or similar space. Even if you think it's already clean, just try it and look at the collected water later, you'll see what I mean.

works great, pulls tons of water out of carpet. The design is a little backwards, the water line should be under the water lever. Water can end up spraying if the waterline gets tight,

This is a nice setup for adding to your vacuum. Just like a professional system. Does a very good job of dispensing solution and then sucking up the dirty water. Made of quality materials good value for the money spent.

I have dogs and I have carpet. So I have owned a fair number of carpet cleaners and pet vacs. Nothing, and I do mean nothing has come close to what I was able to do with this extractor and my shop vac. The level of applied suction and power dwarfs most upright pet vacs. Installation wasn't challenging, but you do absolutely need to put your shop vac into wet mode. For me that involved removing some filters and switching a couple things around. Once I figured out how to do this I was able to install and remove this pretty easily. But wow, just wow. The water that I dumped out on an area of our rug which I have deep cleaned with a pet vac was nothing short of shocking. These extractors are no joke and if you have a shop vac, they are worth every penny.
