It sucks great!I would recommend a couple of things.1. Get a different hose, shop vac must have went cheap since the last time I bought one (20 years ago).2. Keep away from genitals, even though it sucks great, it's the vacuum power I'm talking about.3. Stock up on attachments, this thing not only sucks, but it blows too.4 stars because of the hose, very cheap.

This is an upgrade from my old metal shop vacuum and I'm very happy with it. Things that stand out are:- Lightweight- Both suction and blow- Standard size filters- Plastic - no rust- Plenty of power- Stable and rolls nicelyIf the price is right, I highly recommend this.

Works great as a detailing vacuum. Very strong and can grab big objects like coins without issue. Can also leave a nice streak pattern. Used it to dry a carper and it worked very well at sucking up water.

I have a 12 gallon, 5 horsepower wet/dry vacuum by another company, and I impulsively ordered a second one because it can be difficult to haul around from my workshop to my under construction cabins, as well as to a work space under one of the cabins where I sometimes set up tools that can be ported to a vacuum. I was wondering if I was perhaps making a small mistake, since I would have to store both when not in use, but I have no second thoughts upon the arrival of this Shop-Vac model. This is a compact but powerful little guy. It assembled quickly, which required sliding the casters in place and then adding provided screws. I slid together the hose and nozzle, turned it on, but I wasn't quite in business -- I'd mistakenly attached the hose to the rear blower port. (Not a problem -- I'm delighted that this has a blower function.) Swapping to the vacuum port, the nozzle grabbed gravel and sawdust right off the floor, as well as off an area with floor protector, which is like heavy cardboard. It may be something I can use as something like a powerful floor vacuum. It looks like this will go easily up my spiral stairs, especially compared to the 12 gallon model I have. It seems to have proportionately more horsepower for its capacity. One thing it doesn't have is a crevice tool, which I may try to pick up. It seems like the included instruction manual isn't online at the Shop-Vac website yet as a PDF, but I grabbed the 6 gallon manual, which looks similar. The quick-start guide on one of the box flaps was very useful.Nice long hoses and cords, as well as a wet function and special bag included for drywall dust -- this is a sweet little unit, especially if you already have a larger model. I may dedicate the larger model to collecting ported sawdust, and use this one for prepping floors for finish and similar tasks.Review of Shop-Vac 5 Gallon 3.5 Peak HP Wet/Dry Vacuum, Portable Heavy-Duty Shop Vacuum 3 in 1 Function with Attachments for House, Garage & Workshop, 71-5760588

This is my fifth shop vacuum, and the smallest corded one. If it were half the price I'd consider it a good value, but at this price point you can get a better built, larger, more powerful (or all of the above) from other brands. There are some peculiar choices with this vacuum for the price:* No drain port* Inadequate storage onboard for included attachments* no physical retention for dust bag* Included hose and attachments are only friction fitThose omissions aside, I like the large power switch and the very sturdy and secure clips to connect the top to the bucket. Being small and lightweight, it's easy to move around and use, and it's quieter than both Ridgid vacuums I have. Power is good for the size and hose diameter, so overall I'd consider it a solid performer. If Shop-Vac was more mindful with the design, or wasn't charging the $120 this is listed at here, I'd definitely give it a higher rating.

Giving this vacuum four starts because the hose that comes with it seems a little flimsy. The suction of the vacuum itself is fantastic, but it does cause the light weight hose to collapse.
