The check valves are obviously not spring loaded because this bulb will not pump in the horizontal position. It will only pump when vertical with the outlet on top. Save your money.

What a piece of junk, the valve failed the second time I tried to use it. Save your money and buy a different brand.

The Generation III Universal Primer bulb was exactly what we needed to replace our old primer bulb on our 85 Mariner 20HP.

This primer bulb was non functional the first try. It also failed to work on three more attempts. When you squeeze the bulb fuel squirts back out the inlet check valve so fuel merely moves back and forth.
