Never could get it to work, despite reading and following the directions multiple times AND contacting customer service for help.We ended up returning and purchasing something from Home Depot for half the price and zero question about whether it was doing it's job. 🤷‍♀️

Bought this about 9 months ago and placed on a shelf in case I needed it. Yup - pipe froze this winter, added the heat cable and it works in just a few hours. Will make this a permanent addition in the spring and pick up a spare.

What a piece of junk. I was dead set that this thing was going to work that I even bought two. I read through the directions several times and made sure I installed it properly. My husband was doubtful and said that it didn't feel like it was working but the light was on and I mentioned that it shouldn't be warm because it only keeps your pipes from freezing. I put some insulation on there just in case. Sure enough, we left it alone at the RV for a week during the holidays and came back to a frozen pipe and busted water hose. Haven't had a chance to assess the damage to the RV considering that we are still trying to thaw things out. What a horrible product.

Staight line installation saved alot of time and didn't need as much cord as needed when wrapping around the pipe. Thermostat is a nice feature as well. Hasn't been cold enough for a true test yet.
