I'm using this for a remote mic to record live music performances. I've tried the $200+ brands and the results were horrible. Everything about this unit appears to be state of the art -features, build quality, and audio quality. Both the line output and headphone output are top quality. I don't think Shure spared any expense on the design of this unit. I'm using my own rechargeable batteries/battery charger. I recorded a 3 hour show ( phantom power on) and it used less than 50% of the battery. This is a very serious piece of professional equipment and it delivers. The setup is ABC simple too.
