Update to my original review.got out on the boat 4 times before the controls completely locked up do to the non-return on the button.Do not buy these controls, they are poorly manufactured and dangerous. My boat stated in gear and with the throttle all the way pinned down after the controls locked up. Wish I could get my money back but I can't get ahold of the seller.______________________________________________________________________________________________The controls look alright-a little more plastic than I would like, especially the plastic slot that is supposed to lock the gears in natural--all plastic. The slide that fits in that slot, which releases when you push the gear release button on the control arm, doesn't return into the slot so I'll have to shave it down--it's plastic too. But regardless of that I'm still going to put it in my boat the other parts seem tough and hard wearing. I shouldn't have to be shaving parts down for the item to work though, bad form.My biggest issue is that the incorrect owners manual was sent. This is especially important if you have complex wiring. Luckily I don't have complex wiring in my boat and I'm familiar with how to install these controls, but other people need that owners manual. Also, not many people would feel comfortable shaving down pieces of their new controls.
