I needed more storage in my spare bedroom, so this item seemed to fit the bill when I saw it. As with this type of furniture, I was fully prepared to spend a couple of hours assembling it, and I wasn't wrong. The instructions indicate a 90-minute assembly time, and I think that's optimistic. There are 18 steps in the instruction manual, and some of those steps take several minutes to complete. That being said, if you can put together something from IKEA, you shouldn't have a problem getting this put together. It's important to note that you need to follow the instructions carefully and trust the process. You'll get to a point in the assembly where it's largely put together but feels rickety. Keep going.This is the first example of this sort of furniture I've seen that's made completely of plastic, not MDF or something similar. This makes it very lightweight, but it's missing some of the heft you would expect. As far as form and function are concerned, I don't think it will make any difference, but it's something to be aware of. I'm also not a fan of the cardboard insert that serves as the back, but it passes and nobody will ever see it anyway.I saw that another reviewer stated that the doors don't line up. This is because you have to adjust them once you get them on. It took a little finesse to get them just right, but it's possible if you follow the instructions and take your time with it. All in all, I'm quite happy with this item and it looks great in the spare bedroom. With the extra storage I have there now, it does exactly what I hoped it would.

The doors do not line up on any of the 3 purchased. Also the instructions are not helpful. Would not recommend.
