I love these. I've used them plenty of times.Only "issue" I found was that my size 7 foot (female) fits a little loose inside. But that's fixable if I wear water shoes like you would with other fins. Although, to be fair, it's not needed. I go in the water without the shoes and they stay on just fine. Only time they might slip is if I hit something with my heel.

Used these for the month of February on the island of Kauai. North shore surf is generally high. . .okay, it's downright violent with deadly rips and cross currents. These fins got me through some tight scrapes where I'm not at all sure others would have. They give great thrust through the water with minimal effort.That's what they're for, right?

We returned the 2 sets we got of these - not because of fit - which was lovely - soft, full foot fit - But the issue for us with these fins is that the balance of their design is all about Easy paddling - but - at the cost of power.So if where you snorkel is always easy going any you want some nice fitting - easy on the knees fins - these may be just what you want.For us, as we've been known to also snorkel in the "Big Waves Mann" ...and having been confronted often enough with reversed- and rip- tides - we also have come to understand (especially at the end of a long swim) that when you need all the power you're putting into your kick to translate into forward momentum ... the fins for us always need to be there in that clinch. ...And these are NOT those fins.Otherwise - these puppies are super great for fit and ease!

As a newly certified female diver, the dive shop recommended the basic fin with adjustable straps. What a pain those fins are especially to a new diver! First of all, these fins are sleeker, lighter, and take up less space in a suitcase. Secondly, as a new diver, there are plenty of things to pay attention to and adjusting straps as I exit the water to take off my fins is just one more contortion I am glad I won't have to do with these fins. Also, despite being a runner and biker, I often got hamstring cramps; again, there's plenty for me to worry about underwater and dealing with a cramp is on not one I choose! These split fins help reduce cramping. They are SUPER comfortable to wear without dive booties and true to size. I am thrilled with my purchase! I just wish I didn't have two extra pairs of dive fins (regular fin with adjustment straps and a split fin with adjustment straps) I won't use anymore since I found these!!!

A perfect set of fins for surface swimming and shallow free diving. Easy to swim distance without fatigue and sufficient thrust for popping under the water to check out the environment 20 - 40 feet down. I wear a 7.5 m women’s shoe. the size EUR 37-38 US Men 5-5.5 Women 6.5-7.5 fit perfectly. Snug, but comfortable without a sock. They would likely not have sufficient thrust for scuba or deep free diving. Update: tried them for a beach swim in the gulf - they were useless against a very strong current, although they work well in calm reservoir lakes.
