Looks nice but quality is not what I expected. The lid bowed in the center and if my small 5# cat jumped on the lid he would fall in the tank. It will never work with my 20# cat. I will have to trim the back for a better fit. I also need to trim off 1/8 inch from sides but hinge is right on the edge. The hinge will make it very hard to trim for a good fit.

I was hopeful for this, but it is definitely not worth the price. I’m only giving it 3 stars because if I didn’t have a cat or if I was using this on a 20-gallon long dry terrarium, it would be fine. It fit down inside the lip of my 20-gallon long freshwater aquarium perfectly. Well, near perfectly - it says you can cut the back to allow for the air filter, and no, not without an electric saw. The little knife they send is useless to cut this plexiglass. Not even my father could cut it with a hacksaw. So, I can’t return it because it’s now all scratched up. And, as noted, if you have a cat, it will not hold up. It will collapse under them. So, it’s not the best protection in that regard either. I wouldn’t call it flimsy, but it certainly isn’t strong and the price is ridiculously high, considering you can buy a tempered glass one that IS easily customizable to fit the filters and heaters for about $20 less (which I did — wish I’d have seen the glass one first because this was a waste of money for my aquarium setup).
