The Sierra guages have proper 3/16" (#10) studs on the back. Also with a starting temp of 100F, is perfect for engines with 140 degree thermostats.

Worked great! However do not buy the suggested temperature sender from Amazon as it will not work. I purchased the suggested sender and the engine temperature was indicating 40 degrees higher than normal. I ended up having to purchase another one (mercury) from a marine supplier.

Hooked it up to my Westerbeke generator on my boat. Works great for half the cost. It had good wiring instructions. I ran the wire 8 feet from the engine to the gauge. I get accurate readings because I have tested it with my laser thermometer.
