Perfect for my conduit run and great price. Holds tight and seals great. Came packaged well and no parts missing. Easy to use and great value for the price.

It’s obvious why professionals in online chats clearly prefer the screw type of coupling over this compression type: those install quicker. This is because1) the screw type doesn’t have loose parts that might fall into the wall cavity if fumbled. I had to disassemble all 5 parts of these compression couplings to install them.2) tightening requires only access by a single screwdriver rather than one or two channel-locks.But remembering that conduit is relied upon to provide low resistance connection during a fault condition for safety of the user, it’s important to consider lifetime durability of the connection provided. Professionals will say the screw type provides a low resistance connection, and they’re correct when those couplings are installed. But the first rule for making a reliable electrical connection is to make a stable mechanical connection. Especially if the site is subject to any vibration (nearby trucks or trains or laundry), the resistance of unsecured connections can increase over time. These compression couplings attach securely and prevent any motion between themselves and the conduit, forever. That’s why I chose this type for an upstairs laundry. The quality of these particular coupling is good. They are a good fit on the EMT I used (which I deburred inside and outside), and the diecast threads are smooth, readily accept the compression nuts and tighten without galling. These look like the ones Lowe’s sells, and I would probably buy them there if convenient next time, but I also recommend these if you’re tracking down stuff Lowe’s doesn’t sell for a project that also needs conduit couplings.

Fit the conduit and tightened down good. Just don’t go ape with the tightening. Just enough to hold the conduit firmly.
