  • WHAT | One pair of SILCA Titanium Printed new or replacement cleats for Shimano SPD dual sided pedals MTB and Gravel pedals, 2 sets of Custom Titanium Bolts, and a pair of Titanium cleat plates. Similar strength as Steel at a fraction of the weight with no risk of RUST from wet conditions.
  • WHY | With a hard look at all things metal involved in the cycling experience we took notice to the opportunity to improve on the age-old metal cleat. seemingly an afterthought this critical component goes through intense cycle and stress tests, dealing with up to 150 RPM for hours on end, and hundreds of pounds of pressure on all sides. This cleat has to be hard, exact, light and not susceptible to elements. Insert our Titanium printed and heat treated cleats.
  • HOW | SILCA using their aerospace additive material Titanium printers and metal hardening ovens were able to create a perfect SHIMANO cleat replacement with a 500+ layer 3D printed model. After the hours long printing operations these cleats are heat treated and then post processed to remove any extra material or sharp edges.
  • What RUST? | Ever looked at your cleats after a season and thought… I really hope I can get the cleat off without damaging my expensive shoes? Worry no more with all Titanium cleats, custom T25 Titanium bolts and custom machined Titanium cleat plate.
  • -Manufactured | All of our SILCA Titanium cleats are proudly designed, tested, and Manufactured in our State of the art Printing facility in Indianapolis, Indiana at SILCA’s HQ.

Traditionally, mountain cleats have only had two material options. Mild steel and brass. This has largely been to ensure that the cleat wore out faster than the pedal interface, but has left us with cleats that are often times very fast wearing, and in all cases, are quite heavy. Enter 6/4 Titanium, only slightly less hard than tool or spring steel used in the pedals, it's a remarkable 2.25 times stronger and 3 times harder than brass or mild steel. Best of all, the extreme toughness and abrasion resistance of 6Al/4V titanium means that you can expect 300-400% wear life compared to traditional materials. Now we couldn't just stop there, but by combining 3D printing technology with this material that is 1/3 lighter than steel, we are able to achieve a cleat with internal lattice structure (called a gyroid) which maintains stiffness and strength while reducing weight to create a cleat set that is HALF the weight of a standard cleat set. This savings of 25-30 grams per set of cleats is significant over time, particularly in CX events where running is crucial. 25gm reduction x 100 rpm = 180kg of mass not lifted per hour of riding, 90kg per leg!

These are fine with most of my pedals. They work flawlessly with Garmin Rally XCs and Shimano 520s, but they do NOT work with my ES600 single sided SPDs. It's too hard to unclip and I tipped over at a stop sign like I was just learning how to use clipless.Other than that, they're great. Just try em before you go for a ride.

I received these cleats as a gift. I don't like writing negative reviews, especially for a product from a company I regard highly. Their quality is generally top-notch.I started getting pre-mature releases from my XTR pedals after less than 1 year and with only1000 miles on the cleats. Upon inspection, I discovered extensive wear on the pedal engagement area. I have never seen this kind of wear on steel cleats.I queried Silca on the early wear and I asked if these should be considered race-day cleats, and also asked if there was any warranty applicability, since they have a 2-year warranty. Their response was that they do not consider these to be race-day cleats, and that the wear I experienced is normal wear and tear, which is not covered by the warranty. So although the cleats are a bit lighter than steel, at least for my budget, I don't think the weight savings is worth the cost differential with steel, especially when the high wear-out rate is factored in.

I am a big fan of Silca products and own a variety of them: saddle packs, lube, levers, socks, a pump, a computer mount, etcWhen I saw the titanium printed cleats, I was very excited to try them. They look amazing. I installed them on my shoes without trouble. I did not notice, however, that the stack of the cleat was a little higher, maybe 1mm, than the OEM cleat.I use Shimano S-Phyre shoes with a Shimano XTR pedal. The cleat engaged well but the shoe wobbles around the engagement point. The one who noticed was my bike fitter — shortly after installing the cleats, I had a bike fit. He noticed an odd movement through the pedal stroke and had me take the shoes off and he clipped them on the pedal - the extra movement was obvious. He then tried Shimano cleats and that extra movement was gone.Needless to say, the Silca cleats were a disappointment. I bought my cleats through the Silca site and submitted my review there but it has not been posted.

These cleats are very expensive and the weight concept is kinda silly, but these cleats float, engage, and release MUCH BETTER than shimano cleats. They're worth the money!
