Works as a practice ball for dribble and throwing. My kids love it. If I had an indoor hoop I think we would have a great time with it.It is amazingly quiet. There IS a thump when hitting the floor. The difference between this and a real basketball though is ridiculous though. I could dribble this in one room with someone in the next room and they probably wouldn't even noticing that I'm bouncing it.My biggest complaint is that there is a zipper seam on it that can offset your dribble. The dribble for this has to be forced to get it back up to any height too. That last could be good for practice though. It forces you to use your elbow and/or wrist action to push the ball into a good bounce.

Well... Its... Interesting? Receiving it was a lot like getting a memory foam mattress sealed in a tight bag. After cutting it free it slowly formed into an oblong ball and I left it to continue forming. After a few hours I came back to it, it had firmed up, but still remains slightly oblong. This is foam wrapped in what I would call a latex fabric and that is about it. It doesn't bounce very well, the fabric is rather slippery and really the only useful thing I can think to do with it is either let my dogs enjoy it or squeeze it as a bit of a workout ball. My wife did also mention it has a bit of a smell when you pull it out of the bag, thankfully that seems to have dispersed. So this wasn't really what I expected to receive and it feels cheaper than what I had anticipated. But I can still see kids really enjoying it, and if they were to toss it at each other it certainly wouldn't be as damaging as a real basketball would. So I'm going to give this a 3/5 stars and would suggest you just imagine you are ordering a very strong solid pillow wrapped in a workout skin tight t-shirt and you'll have a pretty good idea what you are getting.

This basketball is not what we expected. It doesn't even bounce and it isn't even round. It is a waste of money in my opinion.

I got this for my husband because it looks nicer than the other silent basketballs out there. Unfortunately, the reason it does is because it is wrapped in a cover with a zipper. When the ball lands on the zipper it bounces weirdly. The ball itself is oblong and never got back to a round shape, which just adds to the wild bounce. It also is not as "bouncy" as other silent basketballs.

I like that this is the size of a real basketball but perfect for indoor play. It is quiet but still bounces. It feels like foam and doesn't hurt if it hits you. It came fully inflated and ready to use. No need for an air pump. Just let the foam regain its shape. The quality is nice and it is fun for our 4-year-old to play with.

I live in an apartment with neighbors below me so it’s nice to just play around without the loud noise of a traditional ball

As you can see from my photo we have several types of these silent balls now and as far as the ones with covers go this is by far the nicest. That said, I much prefer the ones without covers. They are just foam and the nicer ones have indented lines and that’s it. I’ve found that these covered ones don’t bounce as well, have a slicker feel to them that I don’t love, and of course have a zipper that can not be truly hidden on something perfectly round.
