1. Please lay the mold flat when using it, and fill up each cavity with melted wax, wait until it cools then you get 5 wax bars weighing about 1 ounce (it should be noted that pouring manually may cause a slight weight difference to each bar, even if it appears that the same amount was poured)
2. If you need to precisely control the weight of each wax bar, we recommend that you place the mold on a scale and tare it before pouring (zero out the weight of the mold on the scale), then pour in the weight you need.
3. No need to use release agent, the wax will shrink slightly when cooled, making it easy to release.
4. Beewax has a relatively low melting point range of 62 to 64 °C (144 to 147 °F), and better avoid putting the wax on a higher temperature as heating it above the desired heat causes discoloration and boiling will eventually ruin the quality of the wax.
5. Silicone-based products usually have some smells after being made, please don't overly concerned about, these smells will slowly disappear after a few days of ventilation.

This mold is function and a good value for the speciality aspect. They are used for encaustic wax art and release the wax from the mold well. Cleaning is always a challenge when crevices and colored paint meet, but otherwise this is a fun way to store wax!

I’m very happy with this honey wax ingot mold and sadly, I have misplaced it as I was going to make nice photos of it. The pictures are very accurate in the ad and this is not your typical flimsy silicone. It is extremely rigid, which makes it a real pleasure to work with and the interior sides where the wax will go is very smooth so I get easy releases.When you just wanna have some friends
