Perfect to protect my expensive stove top that previously had something fall on it and crack it. Just wish it was a tad wider to protect the edges too.

Our glass stove top gets a lot of use and is beginning to show signs of wear (scratches). Purchased this item to make the stove top look a little better. Has worked perfectly and definitely improved the looks of the stove top. Will purchase one of this in the beginning when we replace this stove.

I absolutely love this item, it definitely does its job. We are remodeling our kitchen, and we had the stove unplugged. I had the mat on top of the stove to protect it and my husband also put a piece of cardboard on top of the stove to protect it. We have a new stove and didn’t realize that if you barely hit the knobs they turn on, I guess one of the burners was turned on, and we didn’t know it. When we plugged the stove in and the burner got hot and it started smoking. I took the cardboard and the mat off of the stove and believe it or not it did not melt to the burner and it did not ruin the mat. It did bubble up a little, but I took it off, laid it outside and it’s just like it was new again. The only thing I don’t like about the mat, is the one I picked has ridges on top and it’s hard to clean between the ridges.

This worked perfect for our new stove. It eventually went out of style and we don't use it everyday but it's good to know that we have it for those occasions when either kids or clumsy people are around the stove. I recommend this product.

It fits my stovetop but does not grip at all. If I bump it or slide a dish onto it, it slides.

I had purchased a stove with the burner knobs at the front ,so if you just slightly bump a knob it will turn that burner on, and I learned that the hard way when I had a noodle board on top of the stove and I Unknowingly bumped a knob and that burner came on, and the next thing we knew, the board was on fire. After that I went on line looking for another stove cover and saw this mat. I had no idea what it did, I just likes the look, but after reading about it I decided I'll try it, and along with that I had to get and a new noodle board. Every night I would clean the stove and put my firePaw mat down then my noodle board. Apparently while I was reaching over the stove that night I pumped a burner and didn't realize it. Meanwhile me and my family had left the house to go to dinner . We were gone for about 2 hours . When we walked through the door all we smelled was a plastic like smell, we went straight to the kitchen and saw smoke coming from underneath the noodle board. First thing we did was turn off the burner and remove the board . Because of the Fire Paw mat it stopped the burner from catching the noodle board on fire and for sure catching the house on fire. THIS MAT SAVED MY HOUSE!! Even after the burner burnt a hole in the mat you would think , you'll never get that silicone cleaned from your stove top, but after I let the stove cool I was able to just wipe it up with a wet cloth. After I sprayed it down it looked like nothing happened. The burner didEventually burn a hole in the mat and started to heat my noodle board , but it kept from catching fire. This mat literally saved my home. I did contact samsung about the issue with the knobs and they are currently sending me a set of knob locks so I will never have this problem again but to be safe I will be ordering me another mat. If your looking for a good looking mat with a safety feature ..THIS IS YOUR MAT.
