These are nice enough synthetic material socks. But the item is called “wet wading” and they mean it. I expected a taller and somewhat insulated sock (think wader foot material) as I’ve had with other “wading socks”. Nope - pretty much just a rather pricey gray sock, made of a woven synthetic material.

Usually, Simms has good products, and I don't mind paying a premium for their stuff, but I bought these socks and the first time out I noticed one of them was fraying around the ankle. Just an FYI if you're considering a purchase.

I’m just getting in to the Simms clothing line. I’ve got a buttload of T shirts but I have always been cheap on myself as far as clothes go. But no more and from just the few things I’ve bought, pair of pants,shorts,long sleeve shirts and these socks I’m not ever buying any other brands. These socks are nice and tight but not uncomfortable at all actually it’s the other way around and they stay put. I haven’t used them for there intent but it’s still cold here and I’ve put too many of those cold days in but they will get there use no matter what. I wish I knew the brand when I was working. The Rogue pants I just received are the same, the most comfortable pants I’ve ever worn, I just wish I had a pair or two for work. So far I can’t give anything but 5 stars to anything I’ve bought from Simms and these socks are no exception. As people know the product is a bit pricey but you know where your money has went once FedEx shows up. It’s kinda like a dream AK fishing trip, their gear lasts about as long as the memories.
