Exactly what I've been looking for! Lightweight, sturdy, simple design, no assembly. Using it with my 13 inch laptop. The lip support is a large enough that I expect it to work with cookbooks too. One caveat is that the mesh could be smoother at the seams but it's not significant enough to lose a full star.

Ordered this after I got tired of my legs getting burned from working off my laptop in my lap.I love that it has several levels to choose from based off the height and where your eye level is. The little shelf that folds out to hold it in place is also great! This stand keeps my laptop working cool and not overheating.I probably should have measured it because my laptop is I think 15 or 16 inches long, and it does hang off both sides just a hair but it honestly doesnt affect the use of the product at all. Although if you have a monster laptop I'd recommend measuring before buying.Even took it to the library and used it, very happy with it and feel it's well worth the money.

I was looking for a laptop stand that lifted the screen while having the back vented. This is a good product. It does what is supposed to do. It’s metallic and robust in every hight that suits you most. This is the second one that I own, and if I ever need another one I will buy it again.

PERFECT... keeps the air flowing on my laptop... various degrees of slant... This is not made for those who rest their wrists on the keyboard, but the proper way of only the fingers touching. I love it.

Product appears to be well made & is certainly ideal for 13/14" laptops as they sit neatly on the on the top section of the product.I certainly recommend this product for those who wish to have a bit of air flow space around their laptop as it lifts laptop base off a flat surface such as a desk allowing for better airflow thus enhancing the ability of the laptop to keep cool.

Adjusts to multiple heights easily. Because of that I can use it at my desk, in my recliner, watching while in bed. I have a gaming laptop so its larger than the stand but its sturdy enough to support the size/weight. The bar supporting at the bottom is large enough as well, laptop doesnt slide off.

Very happy with this item. I use a 14" laptop with closed lid, connected to a dock, while working. The laptop serves as the hard drive for my CPA firm, and I work off a peripheral keyboard and multiple large monitors. I need to be able to take the computer home and to client sites thus the laptop and not a tower.This stand is perfect for raising the laptop off my desk providing circulation underneath the laptop. The stand has a footprint that is not much bigger than the laptop itself thus taking up a very small amount of real estate on my desk. The stand is very sturdy and the multiple adjustment settings are nice (I only use one setting but the stand can be positioned at multiple angles). Highly recommend.

(My laptop is a workhorse - not thin - and so it has a tendency to slide right off of the other two stands I've had because the lip/edge is too narrow.)The metal "mesh" it's made of is sturdy and light and allows for good cooling. It folds down nice and flat.I'm really happy with it.

I bought this as an experiment, to see if I liked the whole idea of elevating my laptop screen and connecting a full-size keyboard and mouse. For the price, I figured that if it just didn't work out, no great loss.It did work out just fine, and now I'm a fan. It's as simple as could be, with no wasted parts or expense. The adjustments should accommodate various tastes in elevation. The materials are durable and easily cleaned. It's easily portable should I need that. It looks like something from Office Depot, but who cares, it's hidden by the laptop anyway. I can't see replacing it with any of the aluminum beauties that sell for multiples more.We'll see how it holds up over years; it's certainly not over-built, with nothing made thicker than it needs to be, but it's not like a Thinkpad is going to strain the hinges.

Of all the laptop/ iPad tilting stands this is perhaps the most effective products purchased. Not only it allows 11 tilt angles from very small to very significant - see pictures - changing its angle is the easiest of all that I have purchased or researched.Its sturdy steel mesh & frame construction and simplicity also makes it really portable. On top of that at C$ 20 it’s one of the cheapest, which made me purchase the third one for to be conveniently available at all my workplaces.What I did however is to drape it with a non-skid liner that holds an iPad or iPhone even at skewed angle if that is more comfortable to read at a given siting position.
