This product is well crafted. It was easy to follow the directions to get a perfect ¼ inch seam on your project your working on. I purchased this metal one instead of the plastic ones available and I am glad I did. Perfect everytime.

This tool is great for quilting appliqué. you can draw your 1/4-inch allowance before you cut your pattern out.

Once one gets the hang of it, this rotary tool is excellent for marking perfect ¼” seam allowances for quilt pieces. Only drawback is the hole is quite small and only my mechanical lead pencil works in the opening, meaning the lead cracked often & I could not make permanent ink marks on the templates. Plus, I found that keeping track of this tiny tool is no easy task with fabric and templates all over my small workspace. A larger hole would allow quilting marking pens to work.

When testing a ruler for machine quilting this makes it work since the needle is 1/4” away from the ruler. Using your pencil run this along the edge of your ruler.

Was so happy to find this quilting tool on Amazon.com to help me in making quilt templates with 1/4" seam allowances. Now my seam allowances will be more accurate!
