BRIGHTNESS & OPERATION: I ordered these LED light bases for the beer, wine, and spirits tastings I conduct on weekends, and they definitely live up to the “super bright white LED” description. In fact, the brightness was almost a bit too intense at first! Easy, push-button operation that takes three AA batteries each and, unless you’re using them for hours daily, battery life should be fine. They seem sturdy and I haven’t noticed any messy seams in how they are assembled.APPEARANCE: Aesthetically, they work best under clear or light-colored bottles rather than dark or opaque ones (see pics). I haven’t tested them under my clear acrylic ice bucket yet, but I imagine they could create a nice glowing effect. My only concern is that they don’t appear to be waterproof, so condensation could be an issue. This is okay as they’ve made no claim to moisture resistance.PRICE/VALUE: At $39.99 for a pack of six ($6.67 each as of mid-January), the price feels a bit high considering they’re push-button and battery operated rather than remote-controlled or rechargeable. Something closer to $29.99 ($5 each) would feel more reasonable, though I have seen the rechargeable and remote control models at much higher prices. That said, they do add a festive and elegant touch, and I plan to use them for future tastings. I can also see them working beautifully under centerpieces with glass bowls, flowers, or floating candles, glass figurines, crystal orbs…many applications!

These looked pretty unimpressive out of the box (and especially considering how relatively expensive they are) AND--although the manufacturer is open about this--batteries are not included, and each one requires 3 AA batteries, which makes them even more expensive. But, mostly, whether the lights are on or off, these don't seem elegant enough to serve as a lit, decorative base.

The good:These are bright display lights and the size is fantastic. I'm using these to display my crystals and rocks and love the functionality of these lights. However, I do feel these are a bit overpriced. Here's why.The not so good:The black color is ok (although almost dull looking) but the plastic material easily holds smears and smudges and feels rather cheap for the cost. I find myself constantly wiping these off because of the smudges just from touching them.Right out of the gate, it's really hard to open the battery compartment which is a bit frustrating. I should not have to fight with the battery compartment just to use the device. Each light requires 2 AA batteries which were NOT included. I feel for the somewhat steep price they could at least throw in the batteries or provide a USB rechargeable option.Overall I think the value for the money is so-so. There are less expensive, less problematic options out there in my opinion. I will keep these and use them but would not buy again.

These LED light base pieces are great for parties, events, or even just in your own home. They do take three AA batteries, which kind of sucks but maybe better in the long run if you don’t use them all the time anyway. They really light up a flower arrangement giving it just that much more beauty. I have also used them to display other items as well.

These were cheap plastic looking stands. They require 3 AAA batteries, and they have an on off button on the side. The battery panel has a screw slot, but the screws are in a separate bag, and you must install them yourself. The battery panel is very hard to get off and requires a screwdriver or something to pry it open. The first one I tried to open broke as the screw tab broke off. The lights are arranged in a weird way. Most of the lights are in the middle. They are bright. I feel like for the price they should be something a little better than thin cheap plastic. Add the price of 3 batteries per item and you’re adding another 20.00 or so to the price. I think there are better quality options out there.

Meh. Very disappointing for the price. These are very cheap plastic. The battery compartment is hard to open and considering the 3 AA batteries aren't included that's a big downfall, batteries are very expensive and I go through them so fast in my house. They color options I was shown were black and white, I opted for white. I'm still not sure what to use them for yet. They are really bright up close but dim very quickly as you mo move away from them. They should have included a USB cord or batteries, at the very least for the cost. I have yet to funds function for these.
