I bought this pattern hoping to make a dress. But I was confused by the pattern piece guides. I watched a video online of someone making this pattern dress. But all the pieces she cut out look nothing like the ones I cut out. I tried and I failed, my ancestors are probably face down in their graves.

This is so low cut I can only use it for a house dress. Must be made for a flat chested woman

I have made a dress off this pattern and was happy with how it turned out. The pattern is pretty easy to follow but the yardage needed for each dress is hard to figure out. I ended up with an extra yard and a half for each.

I like the look from the front but for soneobe with flat chest, it’s too revealing. I am xxxs, but gad yo use size 16 bodice to make it work. Otherwise, I’m just showing off of flat chest.The back side is not very flattering as top and bottom of the back bodice is made of elastics that makes it looks balloon like.

This pattern is fairly easy to follow but the dress itself wasn't appealing. Unfortunately, you have to put the whole thing together before you know how it fits. This is due to how the you elastic waist and elastic upper back are constructed, I made mine in the appropriate size, which ended up being way to big. There was a lot of excess fabric between the elastic bands (top and waist), which created a big ballooning bulge around the back. Like as thigh I had a spare tire between my shoulder blades. To solve the issue I shirred the bodice back.Even with all of the excess fabric, there wasn't enough cleavage coverage (and I am not particularly modest) so I added a ruffle along the neckline to make this more casual day time less bar star.I pretty much ended up re-drawing the pattern and making an almost completely different pattern, with several inches removed in width of the bodice and with a full bust adjustment. I totally love my custom pattern and I would recommend this pattern as a starting point for anyone who likes the crossover neckline. I have not made the peasant blouse style dress. In either view, I highly recommend shutting rather than using the two bands of elastic in order to give the garment shape.
