Still debating. Is it me or is this bookcase a bit wobbly? I had one from a different company but I changed the room and needed a taller one. The other one extremely sturdy and it looked brand new after many years. I thought I had assembled something a bit loose, but nope, they were all tightly done.

A major part was missing. I contacted the manufacturer and they said the item is not in stock and cannot be replaced. What a waste of my time. Therefore, bad appearance, impossible to assemble, not sturdy, and terrible overall.

This shelf is made of good materials. It is solid wood with walnut sheet glued onto it so it is durable with the nice walnut look. Every quality aspect of it was terrible. Multiple broken, bent, scratched, and chipped pieces. Customer service was pretty useful and nice, just make sure you provide as much detail in the beginning as you can.If you are up for the challenge, go for it. If you are a beginner furniture assembler, I suggest you look for another item.

My unit showed up with a busted shelf. Contacted SimpiHome twice and both times they told me to return it (they couldn't replace the part). I had already unpackaged everything and the box is almost 7ft long. Luckily, Amazon sent a freight co to give me a replacement and pickup the return.I waited to assemble the unit before returning one of them. Good thing too! Between 2 units, I had just enough usable parts. Came across broken pieces, stripped bolts, same parts that had diff lengths, scraped shelves, and misdrilled holes. In fact, every part that was pre-drilled were not even the same at all. Some parts even had 4 holes instead of 3.Assembly was a nightmare. The instructions had also mislabeled the shelves! Had to rebuild the drawers 3 times, because some of the parts were too short or too long or the side rails wouldn't work correctly. After 2 full days, I finally came out with one functional bookshelf. Packed up all the remaining parts and returned the other unit. So frustrating since the matching media stand was just fine! It does look good, but I've never ran into so many QC issues before. Maybe the shelf unit without the drawers would have been better. SMH

Ugh, I was really hoping that this book case would be of good quality. Visually pleasing (the plan was to purchase many to create a library in our house, purchased 1 to make sure it would work). There are spaces between the shelves and ladder due to the fact that the cam lock fittings do not lock in with the screws. Plus the stickers are placed on visible parts of the book case which are impossible to remove cleanly. My shelves arrived with chips and some finishing issues with the stain and scratches. If it wasn’t so difficult to return I would :/

Just finished putting it together and I'm very pleased with it. Aesthetically, it's beautiful. Putting it together took awhile and as someone mentioned, the hardest part is getting all the little nut thingies to catch right. A few broke, and one I can't get in place at all. I don't think it will affect the stability. The wood could have been more carefully finished. There are a few dings, a fingerprint pressed into the finish and the stain was not applied everywhere evenly. But thankfully all that is fairly minor, tho I suspect some might get one with not-so-minor blemishes. I'll probably go over a few spots with a furniture marker. Despite that, I would definitely purchase again because I like the look so much and it is solid wood.

This bookshelf is a perfect fit for my daughter’s room! The 5 shelves are sturdy enough for her books, and Because there is a NCL bar in each shelf she’s not worried about items falling out the back. Knowing that this was a ladder type bookshelf with multiple parts, we knew it would take some time to put together. We were pleasantly surprised with how easy it was to assemble - note, we used a power tool to make it go faster instead of just the Allen wrench!
