Ok these things are awesome. The sun rises in my backyard and sets in my driveway. Conveniently my cameras were set up in the perfect locations for these to get full sun exposure everyday. I don’t think my batteries have ever dropped below 90%.

This small solar panel is being used for a front door camera looking out over a busy street. This negates the need to frequently recharge the camera battery. So far works well with no problems. My only complaint is that it is significantly more expensive than the knock off alternative batteries.

Sadly I bought two of these at over $70 each. Now I’m out over $140 because they don’t work! Both are in full sun the majority of the day and I still have to bring the batteries in to charge them.

I have two of these for 2 of our outdoor Simpli Safe cameras; keeps the battery at 89%...I'd have another for the third camera, but then I'd have 2 batteries sitting idle?!

The batteries that come with the SimpliSafe outdoor cameras just drain way too fast. These are a bit expensive but holy cow do they work. I went from 68% battery to 100% in an hour with VERY LITTLE direct sunlight. Ever since it’s been at a steady 100% meaning I basically never need to worry about it again. Works much better than expected. Bought another one for my other camera that had better battery life just cuz it’s so convenient.

Our cameras are staying 100% with these. Batteries are not enough…..you need the panels!!

As long as you can put this panel in a place that it gets 1 to 3 hours of sun (dependent upon what setting you use), you will probably never have to change the battery. I haven't on mine in 3 years

Once I got this solar panel installed I have not had to climb a ladder again. Recharges each day. Install was fairly simple. The worse part was getting it plugged into the camera. It’s a water tight fit which is good. Amazon had this at reduced price which saved me a little money. I do not recommend buying a knock off to save money. You get what you pay for. If you buy the SimpliSafe version and have a monitoring plan this is covered under your warranty.
