The shoes were too small, and I had to return them. Unfortunately, the only way to return them for free is to do an Amazon drop off. This is 10 miles from my house in a busy town center! I will thin twice about anything ordered from Amazon Services!!!!!

I am a size 11.5 US and found I needed to go up to 12. It seems all the Simpson products I purchased from Amazon are small in the toe-box. The other challenge is although I do not need a wide fit, these seem to be very narrow.Product looks okay, but is also very stiff.

Time Saving Summary: The Simpson MTXXX shoes run narrow; especially in the toe box. If you're a C width or narrower, order your true Brannock Device length. If you're a D width or wider, start at least one size up from your Brannock Device size...or look at a different shoe. The Gory Details: I'm a 12 C on the Brannock Device and formerly sold hiking and ski boots professionally, so feel like I know my way around fitting shoes. I buy size 11 shoes (45 Euro) 99% of the time because A) The width of most 11's fit my narrow feet better and keeps them from sliding side to side as they would in a 12 and B) I'm only 5' 9" so anything that helps to keep my shoes from looking like clown shoes is a bonus.11's are typically a little snug at first, but once broken in fit like a glove. So that's where I started with the MTXXX. When the 11's arrived, it was like trying to cram my foot into a ladies dress shoe. Back they went to Amazon (without any hassle whatsoever) and I reordered 12's. I've actually been wearing the 12's around the house for the last 6 hours now and they're starting to get that fits-like-a-glove feel. The width at the ball of the foot is good and my only complaint with the fit now is that I have approx. 3/4" of dead space between my toes and the end of the shoes. In a normal street shoe this would be desirable, but these are driving shoes, not walking shoes so that extra unnecessary length just takes up valuable space in my Sports Racer's already cramped pedal box. I understand that a narrow shoe offers lateral space savings of its own, but it seems to me that advantage is lost as soon as you go up a size (or more) to accommodate the extremely narrow last/toe box that these shoes possess....and then you're dealing with the disadvantage of the unwanted extra length. There is a removable insole that you can play around with, but it's already pretty thin so not a lot of advantage to be gained there. At least the shoes appear to be well made with good quality materials, but any commentary on their durability will have to wait for next season and beyond.Bottom line: From a fit perspective, this is a great shoe for someone with an "A" or "B" width foot, an OK shoe for those with a "C" width foot, and probably not such a great shoe for those with "D" and wider feet.
