Simpson Shake and Shingle Siding/Roofing Nails have a 7/32-inch diameter flat head providing ample bearing surface to firmly secure shakes and shingles of all types. The checker pattern heads blend in with wood grain and reduce sunlight glare. Annular ring shank increases pull-out resistance to provide a secure attachment that helps reduces cupping of siding boards. The slender shanks minimize splitting and the diamond point makes for easier driving.

The picture shows a nail that is ringed on 80%+ of its length. This is not the case with the nail delivered. See the attached picture which shows it is no more than 60%. I don't know if this is just sloppiness or deliberately deceptive but is means the nails don't hold unless you hit a stud, which you probably won't.

Available (tough to find these days), like the wide head, wish the smooth section of the shank wasn’t so long as unless one hits a stud, not much grab.

Used these with tongue and groove cedar siding. They worked great. Didn't split a single board and only bent one. The sharp point drives well and the rings hold well too. Only bad part is the price.
