My wife's 40-year-old Serger is finally showing it's age so we bought this one and couldn't be happier. Great machine and she's already used it a lot. Singer carries their legend of products.

I’m a beginner sewer and it took a little fiddling to get it set right but with the instruction manual I was able to get stitching. It comes with a DVD for further instruction which I haven’t watched yet but will once I venture in more projects. It’s nice that it comes with thread to start you out and it’s coloured the same as the tension dials which makes it super easy to set up properly.

What an amazing machine! I originally went in to a sewing center and was told that I would have to spend $600.00 on a "starter" machine and this was quite a bit out of my price range. I then took to amazon and did a lot of shopping before deciding on this little gem. It has been many years since I have used a serger, but with the DVD that this comes with, it is very easy to understand and re-threading is not as scary as one would think! Would recommend this machine to anyone - you will not be disappointed.

My first serger. It wasn't hard to get set up and works amazingly well even though I'm a beginner. Excellent value for the sale price.

I love this serger... I have used it for many personal projects and have only had one small issue with a thread getting stuck but it was easy to fix. It comes with a bunch of different feet that are easy to interchange and a variety of different tools to maintain your machine. It has a very easy colour-coded guide on the machine to help you change threads. It is quite powerful so it shakes a bit on my desk and is a bit loud but this does not affect functionality. I think this was a great purchase and has held up through countless projects.

Product is good. One thing want to seller to know: we almost lost the package because the delivery guy saw someone walking out from my house, gave the package to my wife who was wondering in the lawn without asking much and walked away without any signature. The comment he made after delivery: given to some woman.I feel totally uncomfortable about the way the package was being delivered. On the other hand, your product might not be able to deliver to me properly.Thanks.

We had our getting-acquainted date last night and she works like a dream. There's an instructional DVD in the box but I read the paper manual instead (also in the box) and it is clear (enough) and concise (enough) that folks with a functional comprehension of the English (or French or Spanish) language will be fine with it.Easy to disable the cutting blade, the factory settings work fine for what I'm doing (simple seams in clothes) and she's not incredibly loud or obnoxious.I love her. :)

First off, the item was to be shipped to a physical address and not a p.o. box. which caused a delay.Secondly, the box did not include an invoice. Thirdly, the item is supposed to be new but their are missing accessories and the serger is extremely noisy, even after oiling

It is more then what I was expecting, when my wife saw the machine(it was a gift for her) she liked it, but when she started using it she loved it. Since she got the machine she has not stop using it. The price is just what I had in my budget, it is GREATTTTT. Thank You AMAZON.

This is the first serger I have ever used. I was afraid to thread it but the accompanying dvd and written directions made it easy. I've swapped out the thread and the needles multiple times with very little effort except threading the needles due to space limitations for your hands, but there are tools for that which I am considering. Some of the manual is incorrect but it's easy enough to figure out what they are trying to say. It's a nice compact size so I can have it on the same table as my sewing machine and switch between them easily.

Serger is easy to thread. Not difficult to thread as others stated. Just follow the manual from manufacturer. Remember that this machine handles mostly lite to medium fabric only. Unless you can adjust the pressure for the presser foot correctly, don't sew heavy fabric on this baby or you will bend your presser foot holder and cause your presser foot to not catch the threads to form the serge properly/not at all. When I did it, I simply moved it back into position. It works like it suppose to. I did end up buying most of the presser feet for this serger though. It did cost me much more (another $75 total), but needed it in order to experiment with the different styles.
