There is no Bluetooth smartphone functionality. I was excited because it has proper four 4 volt rca outputs and even 2 subwoofer outputs, but the "bluetooth" it claims to have is only accessed through a very cheaply made chinese app where you can only control the FM stations with your phone through the app. You can not play any audio from Spotify or anything from your phone. It only lets you skip radio stations with the app. I installed it in my 2000 ford mustang.

Nice radio upgrade for the boat, easy to install, simple to operate, and looks great. Adding Bluetooth connectivity is definitely nice to have in the boat. Overall this radio is exactly as described, and performs as expected.

No matter what I do the remote doesn't work.

Looks good and has preouts to add an amp. Easily and quickly connects via bluetooth and has a relatively powerful 2.1amp charging for a phone. Anyway while it might not sounds as good as a clarion or kenwood it is much cheaper. As for it not being totally waterproof, I don't think any of the marine stereos have any waterproofing aside from the front faceplate like this. Realistically if the back of this radio is getting wet you got big problems.

I got this for my boat to replace one where the electronic volume knob doesn't always respond. For the $50 price tag, power, and features, this new stereo is a pretty good unit. That said, there are a few things that put this at a 3 star level for me. The first, is the volume knob having a sloppy feel. What I mean is, that even though the knob performs functions when pushed in as well as rotated, it really wiggled like something built without regard to precision. I know this isn't a $300 head unit, but I have used similar products in the price range, and they work much better. Second, is the remote control. It works, but a simple loop built in like on most small electronics, and a cord to tether it, would be a great way to ensure it doesn't get lost. Finally, the wires harnesses should have more than the 6 inches of length. In my installation,I'm laying in a cupboard in front of the helm seat and having a few more inches of wire would make a difference for me and guessing others in similar situations. Hopefully this feedback is helpful to other customers and even to the manufacturer.

I know this stereo is intended for boats, but it works in cars too. My car (old Subaru Legacy) has the stereo mounted below the cup holder, and that is very dumb because the cups drip liquid down the front of the stereo. The waterproof design of this stereo makes it resistant to spills and also much easier to clean that the old stereo. It fits right in the single DIN in-dash mount. The AM and FM tuners have decent reception. I like being able to play music from the USB drive or SD card. I also like that it has a USB port for charging your phone as well. Five stars.

Good things, the sound is clear, it has a 20 band EQ in addition to presets like jazz, pop, etc. other good things, front screen illumination is bright, there is a door that covers the USB ports on the front and a rubber cap over the 3.5 mm input.Output power is given as a maximum of 75 Watts * 4. I dislike when companies rate on based on max only and they don't give the RMS rating which is what matters. I opened the unit up the unit and it utilizes a ST TDA7851L rated at 48Wx4 RMS, so 75 WPC per channel max is conceivable. I had zero issues pairing to Bluetooth or using Bluetooth functionality, no audio cut out issues as another reviewer had reported. Bluetooth in general with any devices can be finicky, it can be the phone, it can be the connected device, it's always hard to tell. The bad things, the remote didn't come with a battery but it shows that it does in the instruction manual, not a big deal really I have tons of those batteries. The amplifier has a circuit to dethrottle individual frequency volumes if the gains are turned up too much. I tend to prefer that distortion be allowed because it allows me to set the individual EQ frequencies where I want them and then back them down slightly if necessary to avoid distortion. The anti distortion circuit has strange effects on the volume overall and kind of messes with your ability to tune the sound frequency output to your desire. The front display illumination is not dimmable, the volume knob feels kind of flimsy and could be busted off relatively easily I believe. As others have said, there are holes in the chassis and so it is not a sealed unit. If it is mounted in a boat into a plastic grommeted and sealed enclosure this will not be an issue, but you would not want the back of the unit or top exposed to open air if there is water present, splashing etc. There is a "back" button on the unit that is supposed to allow you to, I would assume, move back when navigating the built-in menus. I found this button instead of doing that, since the button doubles as a phone answer and hang up button, would call the last person I had dialed instead of moving back in the menus, kind of annoying.
