The stereo worked when install in December. The vehicle hasn't been driven since the install. I went to drive it and now only get a small white X in the center of the screen. It is completely non-functional. I have tried reseting the unit with no success. Highly recommend choosing a different stereo unit.

Seems like a decent stereo, unfortunately I haven’t been able to install it yet because of issues with my wiring harness. This unit has a bunch of capabilities and I’m excited to upgrade my old stereo, I just have to get my dash situation figured out first. I'm hoping I can get the family gear head to figure it out, but in the meantime I'm stuck. All of the stereo pieces are in order and it is as described. Remember to order the wiring harness/dash kit to fit your car.

This is a great Single Din Wireless CarPlay Stereo. It connects easily with my phone and it works great. and access to apps. The touch screen is easy to use and it responds quickly. I love that I can even listen to radio if I am not in the mood for my streaming stations. The screen is large and it can be rotated which is awesome. I really like that it is easy to read when driving and that you can rotate it just makes it so much better.I am really impressed with this car play stereo, it works great and is easy to use.

The performance of this unit is excellent. The wireless carplay connection is very fast and hasn't had a single glitch. Touch response is good, screen clarity is good. It looks and fits great in my OBS Ford F350. I'm overall very happy with the unit and it was worth the install struggles.I first wrote this review while still installing the unit. The directions are pitiful, at least when it comes to the wiring hookups. There is a typical large main harness, two different USB harnesses, a camera harness, and a GPS antenna? No remote microphone is provided, although there is a connection for one.The wiring is fairly standard and can be figured out via google searches. But if you're shopping for a low cost no-name radio on Amazon then you're probably not a pro-installer who is familiar with these things, so some instructions would be nice.Once the unit is up and running there is a digital owners manual, but it appears to be designed for a previous version and did not match the menus I found.I was a bit worried about installing the din unit because of the massive amount of cables that are involved, but I found that it's only half the depth of a typical radio so there was plenty of room in the dash for all the wiring. It slid in easily and was no trouble at all. The screen connects seperately and can be removed, but requires two hands to activate the dual release buttons and is very awkward to do.I have a couple very minor gripes about the unit. There are 5 capacitive touch buttons along the left edge. On/Off (audio only), Voice Command, Home Screen, Volume +, Volume -. They are both very small and very hard to see without the illumination on. There is a menu setting that allows you to turn illumination on all the time, which is mandatory if you ask me. They are backlit by a scrollilng rainbow of colors, but I can't find a way to set it to be a constant color. Some colors are easier to see than others, but I just want it to match the rest of the backlit controls in my truck (green). Beyond that the buttons are also still small with no physical form, so they're hard to use. I'm planning to add some generic steering wheel control buttons to alleviate this problem. At a minimum the volume buttons should have textile shape, and also fwd/rev buttons should be added and include textile feedback. Those functions are used too frequently to have difficult or missing controls. I also have a good bit of glare on the screen, but that may be a result of untinted windows in the back. I'm not going to fault the unit for that, as everything else I've driven has had "privacy glass" in the rear, and it's on the to-do list for this truck.Despite those shortcomings, I would absolutely buy another if I ever have another vehicle in need of modern features. The connection reliability was the best of any OEM or aftermarket system I've used, which earns it 5 stars all day.

What a waste of time and effort. My photo is a tabletop test with 12VDC battery, just to try it out. I mean, who wants to rip their whole dash apart and not know if the off-brand radio actually works? Boot-up time seemed like an eternity, but was probably less than 20 seconds actually. The display *was* great. On the first day in testing, it paired quickly and easily with my IPhone 13 IOS 17.4.1 using Bluetooth (everything worked 100% without needing a USB hookup). So I began taking out my old head unit and spent half a day splicing the harness and making a few dash mods for the GPS antenna wire and USB jack cables. Put it in for testing and it worked ok. Audio and radio worked; screen worked as it should; menus functioned. But it seemed pretty warm. “…maybe it is just the compact size or density of the electronics..” I thought. I finalized the installation with dash 100% reassembled and began a test drive, then things began to fail one after another. First I could not get any audio, so I assumed I had hit a mute setting or turned something off in a menu, or broke a wire (I never got audio to work again…); then Bluetooth kept loosing connection. I rebooted my phone, rebooted the unit, erased the pairing, etc. It reconnected a few times but never stayed connected for more than 10 minutes or so before dropping out. I went home, popped off the dash plates to check for wiring issues or broken splices, etc., but what I noticed immediately was the unit was really HOT. All wiring and connections were good so I pulled the plugs to get a total reboot. From that point on, the display never came back to full function. I could see light gray illumination on the screen, but no graphics ever returned. The screen would only cycle from black to grey when I used the one/off button, etc. I tried all the normal troubleshooting for about 20 min, then decided to stop wasting my time and wrote the review. I hope others have better luck than me, but don’t post your review until you actually operate it in a moving car. Nobody cares what it looks like in the box and never tested. ZERO stars.

I installed this into a 1993 Ranger. The way the screen is mounted gives it clearance to extend out far enough to clear everything above it.

I was a little skeptical about ordering this because I wasn't sure if it would work well....surprise, surprise (cue the meme)....its actually not that bad! My favorite feature is that the apps are sized bigger so you don't have keep stabbing blindly at the screen while trying to watch if the light has changed on the road...in the hopes that you hit the right app that you wanted and not the mail app or something. It is not iPad worthy but it does get the job done!
