About this item

  • Usage Warnings: 1. Lead is a toxic material 2. Make sure you wear protective clothing when handling molds and must be careful when heating and pouring lead 3. Use dry molds as water can cause the molten lead to explode and cannot be handled properly When disposing of unwanted lead please take note of your local authority about appropriate methods.
  • Steps for use before pouring: It is recommended to preheat the mold before use.Put scrap lead into saucepan and heat until molten . Once the lead has melted, use a cooking spoon to remove any impurities that have risen to the top. Place the hanger wire (only use wire if you are making a sinker that requires a hole in the center) and place it into the mold. Use the matching pliers to carefully grasp the sides of the mold with the pouring cavity facing you
  • Pouring step:After the above steps are ready, pour the molten lead into the mold until the cavity is filled. Wait 10 seconds, use pliers to pull out the wire, then proceed to open the mold. Use pliers to cut off the excess lead on the top of the sinker, and the production is complete.
  • 3 types of fishing sinkers: Fish sinkers of different weights in 1, 2, 3-Ounce can be made. The produced fishing sinkers are designed in a unique shape, which reduces the resistance of the water and reduces the possibility of entanglement with stones or rocks. The top threading Holes hold fishing line firmly in place
  • Batch production: This fishing mold can easily produce a large number of fish pendants with multiple weights. The fishing weights can be easily matched with fish hooks and fishing lines. It is suitable for fishing enthusiasts to make their own fishing equipment and is ideal for outdoor fishing activities.

I'm going to give this a 3.5 star review. The molding is decent quality and if you are using the weights for personal use then it's fine. My biggest issue (because I can be a tad OCD) is that the numbers in the molding are backwards on the lead weights. The number 3 looks ok if you turn the weight upside down. But the numbers 1 and 2 are backwards and it bugs me.

First, they're is no clip to keep the 2 halves together when you pour the lead in. Second... they neck where the lead goes in is way to big. You can't break off the over stem of lead. Third, the mold does not close tight. The lead bleeds through giving the sinkers a sharp edge you have to grind off, and the how does in a lot, so you have to do it out. DO NOT BUY THIS. IT'S JUNK

Ordered wrong size and was refunded with no issues. However it looked fine to make the weights with.
