I am going to waste some of my time and type this out for those who don't know such things: those connector numbers are coded millimeter dimensions of the inner and outer plugs. The jackery explorer I just bought uses an "8mm DC connector," according to the only place in the manual they specify it. Well, it is a female DC8020 port, meaning 8.0mm outside diameter and 2.0mm inner pin diameter on the male counterpart. If you buy a random solar panel one of the most likely connectors is the DC7909, meaning 7.9mm outside and 0.9mm inside. So it will push into the jackery (because 7.9mm will feel fine pushing into a tight, new 8.0mm socket) but it won't work because the inner pin isn't touching anything. (0.9mm pin in a hole meant for a 2.0mm pin. No touchy.)You can't see it and it feels right, so oh well, I guess I should blame the generic solar panel, right? And maybe go pay jackery four times as much money for their solar panels? NO. Buy this adapter and it works just fine. I also like that it has a retaining ring/tether on it. I doubt it will ever come off my panel cord but it is nice to have and wasn't hard to put on.The last thing I will mention is to look for higher voltage solar panels. 200 watts at 40 volts is 5 amps of current. That is a fair amount to put through an adapter like this item but it is reasonable. If you had 200 watts at 12 volts, however, that would be 16.6 amps! More current than a household outlet is rated for! And current is what resistance uses to make heat. If you put 16 amps through this adapter it will and should melt. It's only a matter of time. So plan accordingly, and occasionally put your hand carefully on the plug to make sure it's not getting too hot, no matter what your setup is.

This is a must have for the Jackery 1000 V2! It fits perfectly, charges great now. Just for a reference I have the GreCell 200 solar panels. Very happy with this item!

I needed these adapters to let my inexpensive solar panels charge my pricy name brand battery, and they work great. The retention lanyard they come with should help make sure I don't lose them too. They fit very snugly so it took some patience to get it fully connected the first time, but that also means they should retain a good electrical connection over time. Recommended!

Used it with a Jackery Explorer 1500. ...It melted in the first 15 minutes. Two shipped in the package but I won't use the second one, I assume this is a fire hazard.

It works for what I need but I tried adding 200 watts input and over heated the adapter. This could easily start a fire so 100 watts or below.

I bought a Jackery 1000 v2 on sale and then started looking at solar panel options. In a perfect world, money is no object, but in reality I can't justify spending what Jackery asks for their solar panels in the time frame that I need to get the solar panels. So I did some research and found what fit my needs and my budget. Plug it in... 0 watts.Come to find out, Jackery has decided to fiddle with the solar input plug on their solar generator so they can force those who don't know better to buy their solar panels. I know better. A little research and I ended up on this. I expected it to be some cheap flimsy thing, but it turns out to be very well made and solid, and it works perfectly.Jackery wants $19.99 for one such adapter. Here you get 2 for a much lower price than that. Problem solved, and budget maintained. I'm happy.
